I bought a four pack of these for my new 8 X 14 welding shop and hung them on the lid (contractor here). I took them out of the box, tied them all together and plugged them in. Too bright? Remember, these are 5' fixtures, not 4's. Anyway, got two hung and they were sufficient to light up the shed adequately (9' ceiling). Got all four installed now and no, there isn't such thing as too much light in a workshop. Good light too. Pros: inexpensive, lightweight, easy to install, plenty of lumens and LED (doing my part) Cons: connectors are a bit touchy, occasionally difficult to install into the fixtures and the short length that plugs into my ceiling outlet is barely long enough and I mean barely and the switched length (that plugs into the fixture) is too long; can't please everyone I guess. Tin brackets that hold these to the ceiling are about as flimsy as could be made; engineered well, just chintzy. These issues have me removing a star Fiancé is moving in, needs a 'she shed' built and loved these lights (fine art painter), so I ordered another package of these for that build in the spring. Overall, you'll be happy with these, they will last almost forever, are inexpensive and easy to install. I would heartily recommend buying these for your shop or for her 'she shed'... ... show more
