These are excellent! We've had two for about 18 months -- we use them every day. We're big fan lovers -- both for the cooling and for the white noise. These truly are wonderful. And the ability to collapse them down to take on a trip is priceless! And wait 'til you hear the ooing and aahhing when people see it for the first time! The remote is simple, but may take a little getting used to -- we don't use the time functionality, so just the power on/off button and the speed control button are all we need. A tip for those sensitive to light: the power on/charging light is a little on the bright side -- we've discovered that an eye glass cleaning cloth folded up into a square mostly blocks the light, but allows the remote control to work through it. So this fan is great minus the battery. I’ve owned it less than a year and it won’t hold a charge. I never travel with it so this wouldn’t normally be a problem except for the fact that it will shut off without a good battery. The issue is either due to crap batteries or a poor implementation of the ip5306. I suspect the latter. If you have the same issue, and you probably will, there is a white sticker on the bottom that looks like the plastic. It’s hiding four screws that will let you disassemble the fan (see pics). You can replace the battery with another 3.7v or move the 5v usb connector to where the battery was plugged in. This worked just fine without dropping the voltage. Edit: The higher voltage did cause some issues. I just didn’t notice right away. Use something like an LM2596 to drop the voltage to 3.7 and you’ll be fine. I love how convenient this is. Its perfect personal sized and love the fold down feature. It is just weird to me that when I plug it in to work it does not give me a continuous flow it pulsates the air. Kind of dropped the ball there with me. I thought it just needed a full charge, but i fully charged it and still did the same thing. Having a remote control is cute but you would not be able to have it that far away from you to need it because the air does not blow in "gusts" ... show more
