Good for the face of cooling one person. If you add ice cubes, put a towel under it, due to sweating. I would just use a regular high powered fan. Good luck!

Filled the reservoir with ice and water, it should be blowing nice and cold but it's not. It blows luke warm. It will not remotely cool without ice in the water. The fan is weak, can barely feel the air moving. It was played up as something awesome. It has a hard time cooling a small bedroom. My kid likes it and uses it. She swears it's cooling her bedroom *Update. She had her door closed thinking this was enough to keep her room cool even though I told to keep the door cracked to allow circulation . Her room was hot and very humid when she woke up. This will NOT cool a room down by itself and because it uses water it WILL cause very high humidity. This can help enhance your homes ac in areas that stay warm ... show more

Wish I would've bought something else. This "AC unit" is anything but. I understand it's just ice water, but the only cold air that comes out of this thing is the tiny sliver of an opening at the bottom of the unit. The area where the fan blows is just that, a fan. It also makes quite a mess after being left on for awhile, so plan to put a towel under the unit to hopefully not ruin your furniture. The upstairs of my house gets very warm in the summer, even if I keep the a/c so low that I freeze downstairs. I've used larger and louder fans to stay cool, but this summer I decided it was time for a change. First of all, this fan is nice and quiet even when I turn the speed up. It keeps me cool on the warmest afternoons, and that's before I add cold water to the reservoir. I bought this for a TINYYY little office, so small that if this actually worked well it would have at least kept it decent. On the highest setting it does next to nothing as far as air flow. While it it’s quiet which is cool but that’s because it’s doing next to absolutely nothing. Won’t even cool down your face if you stuck it up to there, my rooster could stand on my desk flapping his wings and cool me down more than this, Seriously, don’t waste your money. ... show more
