This is the number one rated insecticide for treating areas for ticks. Not supported by the product literature, but commonly done: mix at 1/2% concentration (.005 active ingredient) and then spray on your pants, boots, shirt, headgear, gloves. When ticks come across this stuff, they bail out quick! Human toxicity is very low, too, and the insecticide will persist for quite some time on work clothes that do not get washed. Look up tick-tubes, and you may discover how to dramatically reduce the tick population without massive area treatments that kill all the off-target species.

Very strong stuff, so use care and read the instructions. I spray this on the foundation of my house and a couple of feet out into my natural areas. I'll see bugs basically staggering about shortly after application. It does drive some bugs inside, but they quickly die. I use this every 30 days in warm weather for a bug free environment.
