When I purchased it it looked like it had a way to attach it to the back of the headboard. Ours is a thick headboard and I didn’t want to drill into the front. It cannot be mounted from the back so my husband bought a type of L bracket and was able to attach it to the back with it sitting on top of the headboard. Great, bright over bed reading light. Easy to install and use. I mounted one easily, but had to get the second room arranged before mounting the second several months later. Then I found that the box only included one mounting kit. There is a note in the box that if the mounting kit is missing that Agese will send another, but I couldn't find an email or address. This light is suitable for hours of reading. It's very bright and seems to be at just the right color temperature for reading, too. It's easy to adjust, has a simple switch and it's not too hard to mount. For mounting I used a hammer, an awl, a level and screwdriver. I used a pencil to mark the position of the holes. I used a stud finder to be sure I'd miss the studs with the awl. Once marked, I used the awl to drive the holes through. Then I used the hammer to press the inserts into each hole. Then I used the screwdriver to secure the bracket with screws. Once the bracket was secured, it was easy to place the lamp on the bracket and secure it with screws. I have been using this lamp for days in several places with great results. Reading with this lamp is very comfortable. It's a good idea to plug in the lamp and try different positions out with someone holding the lamp against the wall for you. then mark the space with a piece of tape. Then mount the lamp. Great lamp. It is good quality, had for 2 months or more now using every day. The switch is easy to find and flip and feels solid. The goose neck stays were you point it and the light is plenty bright for reading a book or point to the ceiling for room ambient light.
