If I found it so painful, why did I give it 4 stars? It works well and is simple enough to use. It does “heat up”, but not super warm. You can change the direction of the massagers. I think this is perfect for this type of massage. However, I don’t think I am a fan of this type of massage. I used it for less than 10 minutes and the next day my skin felt like someone had punched me. It didn’t hurt too much whenever I was using it, but the next day it was a different story. I felt like I was beat up by this thing. There are 3 speed levels and it doesn’t seem to get stuck. It’s pretty steady and pushes through those muscles. … a little too much. I gave it to my mom, who initially loved it. Then the next day she told me she hated it and didn’t want it because she also felt the soreness Anyway, not for us. But works great and it’s cheap. So if you’re into this kind of massage, then it’s the perfect price point for what tou get.

If given the choice, I wouldn't buy this again - and should return it. It simply isn't what I was wanting, but it does give a deep, hard massage in your neck. It's big and clunky - and so far, I haven't been able to let it rest around my shoulders like the photo. You've got to hold and pull in tight to feel the massage. It has a short extension cord, so you need to be fairly close to an electric outlet. How it is built - it seems very specifically for your neck and back only--which I really wanted something that I could use in other "sore spots." It's big and doesn't store well. The massage mechanism is hard and "grabs" hard -- which I like deep tissue massages-- however I made the mistake of doing my lower back for a long time -- and felt horribly bruised for two days afterwards. Overall -- it just wasn't what I was looking for.

I'm going to keep this review as honest as can be. I ordered this neck massager in July. probably used it about 3 times but not consistently. When I went to use it a few weeks ago, the massager would not stay on for more than 5 seconds. As soon it felt the slightest touch it would shut off. Since my return window was already closed on amazon by this time, I reached out directly to the sellers via their messaging application. They immediately offered a resolution. We worked out a replacement and I am very satisfied with their service. I'm hoping this one will last me much longer than the first. I will most definitely update if otherwise. For the product: I hold a lot of my stress in my neck area starting at the lower part of my head down to my shoulders. This product has helped me decompress and unwind on the days I need it the most. It offers different pressure levels and with the straps it makes it easier to hold in place with out compromising the relaxation of the rest of my body.
