Took a chance on this ice maker after doing a lot of research on competitors at varying price points. It was cheaper than fixing our failed in-fridge ice machine. I feel like every ice maker out there with negative reviews has the same problems: works great until it doesn't, suddenly makes a horrifying grating noise, and oops the warranty's out, etc., etc. I can't tell you how many reviews I've read like that. With that in mind, I'm writing this review a little prematurely. We've only had it for 2-3 weeks at this point. What our usage looks like: we run the machine in the morning while the wife showers so that she has ice for her iced coffee. And then maybe on Friday/weekend evenings we run it while prepping dinner. So it's only working maybe 4-5 days a week, for maybe 1 hour a day. We're in Indiana but we have a water softener. I run the cleaning cycle maybe once a week. How it's dong: So far, it's pretty quiet. If we run it in the kitchen of our openish-concept house it doesn't disturb movie viewing in the living room. It takes closer to 15-20 minutes to make the first nuggets. They are tender and chewy and nuggety as advertised. Think Sonic ice. We had one night where it made some ungodly horrible noise. I don't know if ice got caught in the internals, or something else, but we unplugged the machine, plugged it back in, ran the cleaning cycle one, and it has been fine since. Pray for me that continues and I don't have to tearily update this review in a few months. The ice it makes a little watery. Doesn't affect using it right out of the machine at all, but if you want to put the rest in your freezer for later, you might end up with some snow-cones in there. The ice basket area isn't insulated, but the ice will stay frozen in there for a few hours, which is nice. If you don't want to use it all or save it, you can just let it melt back into the reservoir. How it arrived: Well-packed. Lots of really good documentation in solid English. Explained to let the refrigerant settle for 6 hours, how to clean, when and why. Cleaning is just a button press and an unplug of the drain, super easy. Setup was simple. As long as it holds out, this is a really solid purchase for me, and I'd buy it again, and suggest it to others.

It's great at making ice! I took it on a camping trip with me and it served it's purpose. It let me keep my drinks cool and lived up to expectations. It was surprisingly fast! I definitely recommend it for people who travel around in RVs or go around camping/cabin trips

I love this machine. I have bought 3 others over the years that make bullets.. This Is my first that supplies crushed ice and it stays much colder and does not melt so quickly. Hope is lasts.

Very poor quality and this was returned. It works for about (10) days and then makes a loud noise, so loud I had to unplug it.
