    • Don't waste your money - cuts over-sized holes
Oversized hole. Don't know how they do it, but 2 clues: 1- hollow step machined at base of bit that seats on threaded shaft was tight, necessitating wrenching the last few turns to seat this bit - not so with OEM 2- CMT bit is EXACTLY 10mm with digital caliper 3- Original Festool bit is a few hundredths UNDER 10mm You can put a domino in the hole cut with the CMT, turn piece upside down, and domino falls out. Chucked original back in, and fit of domino is nice and snug. Wasted my time and money. Don't waste yours. ... show more

You cant beat CMT and now they are producing bits for half the price as festool and they are practically the same bits. The quality is their and fit is comparable to festools.

I took this out of the case put in my domino machine and tried to mill a hole in white oak. I had a genuine Festool bit in the machine previously that had hit a screw by accident but it was still sharper then the new CMT right out of the box. I can only think it was a mistake in manufacturing it was so dull. To bad since the price was much better. I will say I many CMT saw blades and they are good blades. ... show more
