  • Some hints
Size: 10' x 14'
I am writing this review for the 10x14 model. Over all it looks okay, doesn’t shade as much as I had hoped but again okay. Assembly wasn’t hard, did it by myself with a ladder and a DeWalt cordless drill set on low torque. I will share some things I learned along the way. I wanted this to fit under my eve's' so I had to cut about 3 inches off the legs. I used a chop saw and a drill press to accomplish this. About the assembly itself; DON’T LOSE ANY BOLTS OR NUTS; they didn’t give any extras of anything. This would have been nice, since a couple of the nuts were missing threads. Luckily I had some nuts that fit. The bolts are cheap, heads strip easily (even by hand). When mine was manufactured the quality control person must have been on break or didn’t care. There were a lot of “punch” tabs left in the holes and almost all the threaded holes had paint in them, making it hard to put together. After I started checking the holes (before assembly) things went a lot smoother. The frame was easy to construct, the instructions (which is just pictures with few hint words) don’t tell you to leave the bolts for the “arm and beam connecters” (brackets) finger tight. Leaving them finger tight makes installing the pp boards easier, then you can make adjustments to the arms as needed. The next issue is there is a paper in the box with the pp boards that says not to remove the protective film before assembly, which is wrong. I did that for the first 7 pp boards, it was a nightmare to remove the film. Ended up taking the boards back out to get it all off. When installing the second set of pp boards I took the protective film off each before installing. I had to use a couple of putty knives to get the boards in the middle board connector slots. I found using soap & water in a spray bottle let them go together much easier. I may have put them in upside down, don’t really know the instructions only tell you to make sure the “leak” holes are up. I put the wide side up; don’t have any idea of how I would have ever gotten the boards in the slots if I did it the other way. Even after attaching the frame to my porch posts it is still a little wobbly. I didn’t attach the roof to my house, wasn’t willing to drill holes in my siding. The braces that go on the front legs are sufficient, but could have been a little bigger (might have taken some of the wobble out). Also a couple of braces on the back leg might have helped, think I’ll look for something to use for braces. Over all might buy again. 1. No written instructions 2. Don’t lose parts 3. Check for punch tabs and paint on threads 4. No back let support if not attached to the house ... show more

  • It's nice but NOT stand alone, you need a wall.
Size: 10' x 14'
It's nice but needs a wall and it's hard to put together alone. You need someone to hold it while you put it together. I thought it could be stand alone but it's not stable enough without the wall. So now I have to find a different place to put it. So, I don't have a pic yet. I started to put it together and had to take it apart for another place on another day. ... show more

  • You'll love it!
Size: 10' x 12'
You will need a couple of friends. My husband and I managed to get this almost completely done in a day. I know that sounds like it's a lot to do! No we just old, it was hot as blazes, and we fat, and not as nimble as we once were. We took a lot of water breaks too. I mean it was HOT!! At any rate, we had it all together except bolting it to the wall and the patio. Now, please pay attention... they DO NOT PROVIDE LAG BOLTS for you to bolt all the legs into your deck, slab, patio, or whatever. There are enough to safely secure it to a wall in the back. We just made a Home Depot run and picked some up. No big deal. Also, when you are putting the top covering on...pay attention when you remove the plastic protective covering. One side is marked to face the sun. The other side is marked to face inside the structure. What difference does it make, you ask? Well as I am not the manufacturer, I can't answer that question. However, I feel that if they took the time to specifically mark each of those boards, it just might be important for you to do what they ask. Now the big one! When inserting the metal " connector " that goes between top row of the polycarbonate top and the bottom/second row, PAY ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS! I'll break it down for you...if you look inside the connector only one side has holes inside. The side with the holes goes in first. In other words, the side with the holes slides it to connect to the polycarbonate top that you already have installed. If you don't do it like that, you will have leaks when it rains. All in all, worth the money and directionsare fairly clear. Recommend. ... show more

  • a joy and a surprise
Size: 10' x 14'
Bought this to keep the snow off my front door. It had to stand up to wild Wyoming weather, and so far so good. it was an easy build for one person, but two would have made it faster/ better. I would recommend.

  • READ INSTUCTIONS
Size: 10' x 14'
Decent porch cover. Relatively easy to assemble, but read the instructions carefully. Look at the images and make sure you have everything exactly the way it's pictured. Pictures could be better, directions could be better as well. I did this by myself but I highly recommend having at least one other person especially if you are shorter than 6 ft tall. It WILL be wobbly until you secure it to walls and floor, but once anchored is stable. I am adding additional wall anchors since the ones provided are kind of lacking. Watch the video in the description since it is more accurate in showing that light and heat does pass though the plastic pannels but it does block a fair amount. It's supposed to rain this afternoon so I'll be seeing how good it does with precipitation. I'll update if anything changes significantly. ... show more

  • Perfect for $460!
Size: 10' x 10'
My wife and I were impressed with how sturdy it is once we got it all put together and honestly the directions are clear and the parts are all numbered but there is a couple hours of set up. We are anchoring ours to a wall and into concrete and sweeping the roof in the winter as well as building a 4’ wall around it to anchor it together. It’s a perfect outdoor dog run now and if the ceiling tiles are too weak we’ll put in plexiglass. ... show more

  • it looks good BUT Not easy to install
Size: 10' x 12'
The media could not be loaded. I didn’t have any missing or damaged parts. The problem I had was because the holes didn’t match, so I had to drill and open hole so it worked. I consider myself a skilled handyman and it took me and a helper about 7 hours to complete the install. If you are not handy, do not buy this. Overall I liked the quality, the looks, but the install was too much. ... show more
