These are the buy once, cry once dumbbells you've been looking for. I bought two sets of 80-lb pairs and two Eisenlink longer screws for a total of just a little over $1000. - Durability: They are very stable. I have them at 120 lbs right now, and I would not hesitate to put on more. The peace of mind from not having worry about catastrophic equipment failure lets me focus more during the lift. When I did a drop test from knee height onto a rubber mat, I was more worried about the floor underneath than the confidence-inspiring build of the Eisenlink dumbbells. - Paint: I bring dumbbells together on presses until I hear a *clink,* which does chip away the paint. I am happy to see the paint chips away only in contact areas as opposed to entire sheets peeling off, like I've had in other brands. - Adjustment Speed: The plates are slower to change than knob or dial-style adjustable sets, but they are much faster than the nut styles that require you to remove the entire nut if you want to change the weights. - Grip: The handles are a little bigger than what you usually see in commercial gyms and other dumbbell sets. I have small hands, so I just squeeze harder lol. The knurling is nice when your hands are dry, but I wish it was a little bit more aggressive when I use more weight on it. - Balance: They are well balanced. The notch does not hinder usage at all. - Screw caps: The caps are smooth and feel good quality. They do not tear holes in my pants, cut up my thighs, or threaten to slip off like some other brands. The extended screw caps don't let you load less than 95 lbs, but for anything heavier they hold the plates snugly. If these ever break, that would be a lie because they won't break with proper use.

These dumbbells are great. Pros: The build quality is fantastic - I do not worry about them breaking if I have to drop them. Weight changes are quick - it takes me about 60 seconds to change weight both dumbbells, which is typically how long I like to rest between sets. Cost is very reasonable compared to the most similar competitor, IronMaster. Weights are very stable when secured - no rattling or fear that weights will fall out when in use. Tips: Add painters tape to the top of the fixed weight to quickly tell if the weights are facing the right direction to unscrew - I saw another review suggest this and it made weight changing much quicker. I also added a small piece of painters tape to the 2.5 lb weights - this also made weight changes quicker, and made it easier to tally up how much weight is on the dumbbell at a glance (pictures included showing this) My only (small) complaint is that the grips feel quite a bit thicker than standard dumbbells you might use in a gym - this makes them a bit tougher to grip when you have sweat on your hands - not a huge deal but there is a bit of an adjustment period to this.

Build quality is very solid. No worries of these breaking at all. Grips feel really nice to me personally. There’s no assembly required though you can add additional weight to each dumbbell later. It’s very easy to go from 15lbs up to 50lbs, but it does take a little time. These aren’t the best choice for going from 10lbs to 50lbs quickly since you have to take the locks out of the dumbbells completely to get down to 10lbs. The shapes of the dumbbells being square is nice for some movements and not so good for others. For the money, these are a great option that will last a very long time. 4/5 with the only real downside being the time it can take to switch weight. If you need something quick, for faster weight changes, these might not be for you. Used them for over a month before reviewing.

These are fantastic, genuine dumbbells that offer incredible value for the price. Here is what stands out: All-Metal Construction: Unlike many adjustable sets on the market, these are completely all-metal with no cheap plastic parts, meaning they can easily handle accidental drops. Anti-Roll Design: The square shape prevents them from rolling around on the floor when set down. Outstanding Support: When my initial order arrived with some missing weights, customer service was extremely prompt and efficient in arranging the replacements right away. greatest bang for your buck compared to all other options in february 2026. EDIT 2/24/2026: literally just undo the screw some so you can pull the plate of the holes, and lift. you do not need to unscrew the screw all the way just to change the weight. maybe the company should demonstrate this so people aren't confused. it's not intuitive at first, but it doesn't take as long to change the weights as people say they are. ignore my gripe about taking too long. so, these are basically ironmaster adjustable dumbbells clones. getting these saves you $200-$300 dollars, depending on which option you choose. i don't have the ironmasters to compare 1-1, but this looks to be the same product with a different name attached. the design is simple enough that it's hard to go wrong. although there are only two options available through this listing, the company advertises upgradable screws for the meatheads who need more, allowing the user to put up to 160lbs of weights. 'course, you have to buy the screws and extra weights separately, which looks like it would cost you another $300 total, making the price around the same as competitors who offer a higher weight count on a single listing, and not like an upgrade as eisenlink advertises. not a problem however, since i'm a gym pleb and have noodle arms. if i ever get into a position where i could lift a 160lb dumbbell, let alone two at the same time, i would probably be on roids, a professional weightlifter, or both. Anyway, the 80lbs option is perfect for me. as many have said, the downside of these is the time it takes to put weights on, depending on how many you need to put on for the next set. i think that's nit-picky though, because that is the trade off for a robust design that is difficult to damage, and won't require plastic pieces to replace later. i also think the people who are complaining about this also haven't tried to sit it vertically, using both hands to spin the screw so it comes off, and goes on faster. just be ready to catch the screw once it nears the end when taking off. the plates not being numbered is a minor inconvenience. i just used a silver sharpy that i use for marking my car's oil filter and stuff after i change them to mark them. i did weigh them individually, and the weights are pretty dead-on. the screws are 2.4lbs each, the lighter plates are 2.6lbs, the 5lbs are true 5lbs, and the handle itself is 9.8lbs. the fit and finish of everything is pretty good, with the chrome on the screws on the underside being a little rough. nbd though, it doesn't affect performance, and that's also not what you see when they're screwed on, so whatever. there are octagonal versions of these offered by a competitor at around the same $530 price. i don't know if the shape of these is superior. if it is, it's probably because they won't roll. idk if it affects some of the way people might do exercises, but again, probably a skill problem, like with those who complain that the handles are too fat. i think the handles are fine by the way, and this is coming from someone with thin wrists, and can fit my hands into a women's XL glove with some discomfort. the handle has to be fat to accommodate thick enough pins that will hold the weight, so if anything, maybe this will help people develop a stronger grip overtime. i haven't gotten sweaty enough to see whether the knurling on the handles is a problem, but like another reviewer said, it can probably be remedied with chalk. i think the knurling is fine. i mean, any more aggressive, and you'll probably end up with a bunch of pock marks on your palms. i also think again that that is a subjective issue, since it could be that some people's hand strength is quite there. i suppose it depends on the amount of weight as well, so take what i have to say with a grain of salt. i read that someone got these when they were half-off, so if there's ever a moment again where you can get these for that price, do it. you won't regret it. i just kind of wonder whether eisenlink will be around as a company to offer upgrades, and customer support in the far future.

Note: At the time I ordered mine it was actually cheaper to order the 50lb pair and two expansion sets to be able to go up to an 80lb pair. Worth checking since it saved me about $80 at the time. I've been using these for about a month 3-4 times per week. And so far they feel incredibly solid. The knurling is nice, not too rough, not too smooth, and I actually like the slightly thicker handles compared to most gym dumbbells. Also, I don't know if they are dropable, but I have horse mats in my home gym and feel more than comfortable dropping these about a foot. Their sturdiness, wide shape and flat end make these great for picking up with your feet for weighted exercises - which is something I was looking for in an adjustable DB. Changing the weights is pretty easy and you get more efficient at it after the first few workouts. I definitely pinched my hand when I first started changing the weights on them (totally my fault for being careless) so its something to watch out for when you are getting used to it. Overall, I'd highly recommend these to someone looking to for a home setup. They provide a ton of flexibility and are a fraction of the price of competitors (Iron Masters). Also, they are actually available!

I’ve been using the Eisenlink Adjustable Dumbbell Set 50lb Pair for a few months now and I’m really impressed. These things feel rock-solid right out of the box — all cast-iron construction with no cheap plastic parts. The square plates slide on smoothly, and the quick-lock screw mechanism locks everything down tight with almost no rattle, even during heavy or explosive sets. Adjusting weight is fast and easy, going from 10 to 50 lbs per dumbbell in 5 lb increments. The knurled handle feels comfortable and grippy, and the dumbbells stay balanced like traditional fixed ones. They save a ton of space in my home gym while still delivering a premium workout experience. Plus, they’re expandable if I want to go heavier later. For the price, these are an outstanding value. I’d buy the Eisenlink 50lb set again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended — 5/5!
