    • Setting Pins for RXM Don't Fit the Corner Holes

Everything was there that needed to be there. Dot worked and was nice. I actually legitimately liked the fiber optic co-witness sights on the back. Unfortunately, had to send it back - the setting pins that came with the Ruger RXM are too big for the holes on the bottom of the optic (the four corners), so I wasn't able to mount it. I'm actually concerned about ordering a different optic from CVLife for fear of the same issue occurring. ... show more

Well, CV Life hit the mark on this "red dot" sight. Dot sight prices can range from $75-$700 and in most cases, you get what you pay for, but CV Life has changed the game up. Being new to the Dot sight game they have done their research and came up with an "all around" sight for a great price. As anything new to the market, time and testing will be the true judge here. I own many dot sights mounted on all types of firearms; it seems like anytime some new option comes out I need to try it out. So let's go over the list of features here, the first thing you notice once the box is opened, there is a cover on the sight, this in itself is something you rarely see. While your pistol or rifle is relaxing in the safe, the sight lens is not collecting dust. Next is the "shake to wake" function. You have two options for the on/off of your sight, just push either button on the side of the optic to turn the dot on. For long term storage or while driving to the range, you can save the battery by pushing and holding a side button for 3 secs, and the dot goes off. But if you "carry", you don't want to fumble for a button in a panic situation. Just push one of the buttons and leave it on, when no motion is sensed for 3.5-4 mins (I tested it) the dot will shut off. Pick the firearm up and the dot comes right back on. Zeroing the sight in is a breeze, just follow the direction in the owner's pamphlet (one of the best I have received). Not only do you have the dot to sight with, but there are two "fiber optic" tubes to help you center the dot or, in case of a dead battery, you can co-witness your iron sights with them. The mounting of this optic was well thought out, a "Docter" footprint (used on most high-end optics) is the main option, next is the "RMR" footprint, which is one of the most popular footprints, and finally (my favorite) is the "picatinny" rail mount (mount included). So now you can you add a dot sight to the side of your LPVO scope for close quarter operations. Finally, one of the best features, you can change the battery (comes with 2) WITHOUT removing the sight, this means no more re-zeroing after battery changes. This is a biggie for anyone who needs to have the optic running, without fail, CCW-LEO-Military, you can drop a new battery in, in less than a minute. If you are looking for a dot sight, this one may be something for you to try. ... show more

    • Great features, clear and bright dot

The description is a little hokey calling it a "red/green dot sight" as this is strictly a green dot sight. It comes with a cover that fits fairly snugly and will protect the sight when stored or when in transit. The scope glass is clear and easy to see through and well protected by the shroud. The green dot is easy to pick up even in brighter background light. A wide variety of mounting screws is included as well as the picatinny rail and RMR adapter along with two batteries and allen wrenches. The backup rear orange fiber sights are an interesting feature. Other dot sights I have do tend to cover up normal height rear sights, so these rear sights could prove to be a good backup if there is a battery failure. It will be a bit before I have a chance to mount it and try it out in the field, but so far I am impressed with this sight. It seems to be a pretty good value for the price. ... show more
