My so. Has drop foot and this was a perfect purchase for him thanks to his therapist telling us about it. This brace helped him so much. He has worn this brace for about 3 months and the Velcro is starting to wear quite a bit. It did come with a extra strap that we did have to change after about month and a half. This is a very good cost effective product. It does wear as to be expected. We finally got his AFO today but I will purchasing and one of these to sometimes give him a break from the big bulky hard brace.

face it, you can't overcome foot drop with a magic product. You can get a custom gadget for several hundred dollars with no more relief than this unit. You won't be running hurdles, but for $20 you can walk without stumbling and risking a fall. Doesn't seem like it's doing anything, but you hardly notice it and it does a decent job preventing snagging your foot on stuff. I'm getting a back up. you can buy a roll of 3/4" velcro for a few bucks to replace the strap many times if it ever gives way. followup after a couple months use - be prepared to replace the velcro attachment strap. it's dollar store quality and will fail after about 5 miles total walking. get a roll of 3/4" quality velcro to be prepared. Other wise, still extremely pleased with this device.

I bought these about a month ago to supplement my expensive AFO's that are made of carbon fiber that are not very comfortable to wear for a long time. Go ahead and buy a roll of 1" wide Velcro, get the Velcro brand, about $12 for 30 feet. The toe lift Velcro straps that come with it are not very adjustable. I've been wearing them with sandals, they work great with my older Merrell sandals where the front strap goes straight across. Not as good, but acceptable, with the new Tevo's I bought because the front straps is at an angle and that put a little pressure on your foot where the straps attach to the sole. They work OK without socks, but they are much more comfortable with socks, just not very cool looking. I've also worn them with some cross trainers where the laces go near the toe. They sure keep me from falling and I highly recommend them for at about $20 a piece. I haven't worn my expensive AFO's since I got these.

I thought the product didn't work as I felt my foot wasn't being "lifted" enough. It wasn't until I put it on what I thought was upside down and the angle of the strap was now sufficient to help with foot drop where it wasn't before. I believe the tag should be on top (if yours has one) and the part where the strap goes into needs to be pointing upwards (and you pull it down) for it to work.

I ordered product to aid me in helping me with "drop foot". DF is a result of MS and I wanted to try a product which would aid me in keeping foot raised, so as to not trip over weakened foot, which tends to sag due to muscle weakness caused by disease. I'm very pleased with aid!!

This foot brace is terrific! My Physical Therapist told me about it, and even let me use one she had. I was so impressed that as soon as I got home I ordered one! It really helps me with my Foot Drop caused by my Multiple Sclerosis. It helps me to pick up my foot, and not get it caught on rugs!
