It’s loose on my dogs neck . I should have gotten a medium but he’s an Irish wolf hound for goodness sake ! Who knew ! 🤣🤣 It’s a fabulous collar though . I’ll buy a medium later and this one on my smaller dog . He’s got a thicker neck 👍🏻

It seemed well constructed Period but there's a lot of velcro showing And I don't expect the patches to stay on that long. But, even with the patches, there's a lot of exposed velcro. My dog goes into the woods and the water a lot so he is exposed to too much that will adhere to Velcro. Well made

This is for our 50 lb Pitbull. He is very playful and he and the other dog (also 50 lbs) wrestle vigorously. He also is fond of jumping the 6' privacy fence, so we put him on a 30' leash while he is outside to make sure he doesn't menace the neighborhood. He has broken several other collars and I wanted something that was a bit more tactical and designed for truly strong and athletic dogs. This one checked all the boxes and the price was very competitive. The closure is quality metal construction and has yet to come off by accident, but is easy to take off if you are a human. Adjustments were quick and easy and I love the additional handle, because sometimes he just pulls too hard on the leash and I want that extra assurance that he isn't going to bolt after some random thing on our walks. It doesn't chafe his neck and gives me that extra sense of security so that even if the worst should happen, I can just grab him and keep him close. The tactical dog collar arrived well packaged and undamaged. This dog collar is very heavy duty. It's well made and should last for years. It includes a handle that allows for better control. The nylon webbing is very high quality. The interior of the collar is padded and will be comfortable for the dog to wear. I must admit, I'm returning the collar that I received. Not because of any problem with the collar itself. I misjudged just how heavy the collar was going to be. I was looking for a high quality collar for my older 92 pound German Sheppard to wear all the time. This collar is just too heavy for him to wear on a daily basis. If you have a younger, active large dog this collar will be great for you. Please don't take the fact that I returned the one I got as an indication that there is anything wrong with the collar itself. ... show more

    • The plastic fasteners are useless and the collars do not adjust to the smallest size listed
Size: Large: Fit 18.5-22" Neck Color: Light Green
The collars appear to be well made and the colors are vibrant (one pink one green). I chose the large size because my dogs fell into both medium and large sizes but I wanted growing room as my two dogs may still have some growing to do. It does not adjust down to the smallest size listed. However I think they will still do the job. Living and traveling in a motor home I don’t want to make them stay in a harness all the time so the handles are great. The only thing I am a little unsure of is the clasp which is not metal like the ones they currently wear although we have had some extremely strong plastic fasteners on harnesses.. We shall see how they wear. Update: 5/23/24 - We are on our travels. My husband took our two girls out for their last potty of the night. Because they weren’t going a walk but just onto the grassy area at the side of the motorhome, my husband thought the collars would be adequate. They have only worn them for the last 4 days.How wrong we were. Just the slightest pressure caused the fastener on both girls’ collars to come open. Fortunately neither took off and my husband was able to fashion a slip collar from their leads. We are lucky that both our rescue girls have come to trust us or one or both could have been in major problems. Fortunately I did not throw their old collars away.
