Care Instructions: Use a wet cloth to wipe off the mud from a leather collar if it becomes muddy or dirty. You can gently scrub with a very small amount of mild soap. With a different moist cloth, wipe the soap residue away. Buff the collar with a dry cloth to dry the leather's surface. Apply a tiny amount of leather treatment conditioner to the collar once the leather has completely dried.

I bought this collar for my, soon to be, four year old 15" Beagle. She was still wearing her first collar from when she was a pup and it was getting pretty worn and on the last adjustment hole. The local pet store I frequent did not have a very good selection so I decided to take a chance on Amazon even though I knew going in I might need to return a few to get one that fit and/or was the quality I was looking for. Ends up the first one hit on all marks. This is a very well made leather collar and that is coming from a guy who has had many dogs in my 68 years and I have always been a leather collar person. I just like the way they look on a dog. They add a bit of class, not unlike a leather jacket on a human, and this one is no exception either. It is a fine looking collar made from high quality leather. One thing I was worried about, and the main reason I like to shop local to choose a collar, is whether or not the collar would be too heavy. Mabel, my Beagle, was the runt of the litter and even though she is a 15" Beagle, she has a light frame and not a stocky build like most Beagles. At 3/4" this collar is twice the width of her previous one and the loop and buckle are both a heavier grade as well. Still, in the end the overall weight is just about right. I would have liked to have gotten a model with a top leash loop but wanted to avoid the extra weight and glad I did. Besides, I usually put her harness on when I walk her anyway since she tends to follow her nose a lot going into bushes where I need to pull her back and prefer not to put that much stress on her neck. Anyway, long story short, this collar is very nice and I could not be more pleased with this purchase and can recommend it without hesitation. ... show more

My mini poodle needs a groom but the collar looks so good either way. It came with an American flag charm but I just replaced that with his name tag. & it looks and feels fantastic quality.

Nice soft, supple, strong, no nonsense, no frills leather collar. My Rottie’s neck is 22”. I ordered the 19”-24” and it fits perfectly with enough adjustment for him to grow larger, but not too much so the excess flaps around. He looks very handsome, and I’m not worried that if he sees a squirrel, it will break when he most likely will test the collar’s strength. ... show more

I bought this collar because it looked like it was a sturdy leather collar and had some good reviews. I also liked that it had a metal fastener. I have a 98Lb rambunctious young Labrador and a 117Lb young great Pyrinees. They both like to wrestle and play as young dogs do, especially grabbing each other’s neck fur. They chew through plastic fasteners quickly and easily. This collar stood up to that but after a month of use my lab was able to chew through the thick leather on my Pyrinees’s collar and they both got to enjoy a leather chew toy. We use these collars for the prong device for the perimeter fence on our property and was disappointed that he was able to chew through the leather. Just like you old bomber jacket this just gets better with age. This little wild man needs a sturdy collar. The nylon ones he just pulls lose. I am so pleased with this real leather collar. The media could not be loaded. I love this collar compared to the other's and there have been others for my handsome 56.6lbs 6mo baby boy. I purchased a large seeing how fast he is growing and it definitely leaves room for growth yet it doesnt slide off. Perfect for the handsome big guy he will become the thickness of genuine leather and the well made hardware looks great! For the years to come. He seems to have no problem or concerns with it at all.
