A friend purchased a similar collar for 385 dollars. The handle broke off in 2 weeks. We've had this one over a month and it's been put through the ringer for sure! We have 2 rottwielers and a dogo argentino. Grabbing the handle is their favorite game... it's been yanked and abused by the dogs covered in a stupid amount of mud and washed back to new several times! These things are amazing especially for the price. I put it on my dogo argentino for a tie out collar and she has broken so many collars. She didn't break this one, but she did rip off our banister! The collar nor attachments points gave away which was incredible! She does weight pull competitions and pulls 2100 lbs. So she is very very strong!

I previously had similar collars but with the easy clips and because the clip ones were always opening regularly I decided to try these out. I'm glad I did since they are well made and also work a lot better than the previous ones. I will buy these again for sure!

I have a 50 pound dog and this collar is almost too wide for her to wear. While it is well made and we love the little extra velcro tags you can use, when they said 'heavy duty' they meant it. We are keeping it as an extra collar and it goes with the harness that we use to walk her with. It is just a heavy wide collar. This collar may be better suited for a dog that is bigger than 50 pounds....like maybe a great dane.

The nylon webbing fabric is very thin. While it has been doubled it remains pretty flexible where there is no padded layer too. So I am doubtful it is stiff enough to stay buckled. A removable 3/4” wide velcro piece is included as an additional keeper. I really liked the idea of the double-sided buckle, thinking that would stay buckled better than just a keeper. But the pins on this buckle are flat and wimpy. The tie rings do look sturdy. But I can’t tell if they are open or closed or welded in the back. They aren’t standard D-rings. Large size fits 17-23”. Collar is 1-1/2” wide. Padding layer is covered with what feels like nylon. It should dry faster than fleece-lined collars. I wish they’d stop putting Velcro patches (1-1/8”x2-1/4”) on everything. I’ll have to cut it off. I can’t stand them full of seeds, awns and chaff. Collar comes with 3 USA flag based patches and a spare velcro keeper. Time will tell how much this collar will shrink, fade and the color run. It should last a couple months until my pup outgrows it. I’m still looking for a thicker, stronger, 2”+ wide collar for his next one.
