I really like this gun safe. It has all the features I want: a lighted number pad, an internal light, the door opens almost 90 degrees for easy access and many more features too numerous to mention here. Everything worked perfectly. The number keys, key lock, and finger identification scanner worked perfectly and flawlessly everything time I tried them. Please keep in mind that my safe is new and I’ve just started using it. I don’t know how it will perform over time. All I can say for now is that I’m very impressed with the safe and would definitely buy again. What are would really like to address are the comments from past reviewers concerning the easy of use of the manual that comes with the safe. Several reviewers stated that the directions were hard to follow making initial setup a bit of a problem. I want to go on record and say that I had absolutely no problems with the safe’s manual. The directions were easy to understand and follow. Setup of the safe was quick and easy and went without a hitch. In short, I had no problems reading, understanding, or implementing the instructions. Everything was explained to my satisfaction. Perhaps the manufacturer updated the manual based on all the complaints in the reviews; I do not know. All I can say is I haven’t had any problems and found nothing to complain about either with the safe or its manual. ... show more

Item will not operate according to the functionality it was intended. The locking mechanism on left side will not allow it to open, right side opens with keypad and key but the left side will not open Pointless for a safe intended to protect items when you can't even open it to place items inside for securement Extreamly disapointed in product as well as amazon for not testing it for having normal functionality before shipping it back out a"good as new " And to top it off I ordered on the 11th of Jan 25 received today the 17th of Jan 25 Shipped from Ohio went to Kentucky then to Illinois then to Wisconsin then to Illinois No wonder why it took 6 days vs six hours and I don't want to waste my time figuring out what should had been 383 mile journey it moved snail pace 63 miles per day. ... show more

Important if you have young grandchildren. I keep ammunition separate and firearm unloaded even if they find a way to open it. Seems very sturdy. 3 ways to open. Fingerprint, code and key. Metal not plastic casing. has securing line if you want to keep it from being moved
