There is nothing about this lamp, not to like. I bought 3 lamps, and they came today. They are so easy to set up & the directions are very clear & simple. I've never seen a lamp shade quite like this one. It's unique, and I love it. It's all great quality. I really like the heftiness it has. This lamp won't tip over very easily either. We had some cheap floor lamps and I didn't like them because most of the light was up on the ceiling. It didn't do much for the room. It was still dimly lit. And trying to knit, crochet, sew, and do counted cross stitch, was not easy. Crafting is going to be breeze now because I will be able to actually see what I am doing. And the lamp has directional lighting also. So if you need more direct concentration in an area, this lamp is perfect for that. I was looking for a cheap lamp for my living room. While economical, it still looks classy! I also like the brass-like finish. The metal bars and base are very heavy and sturdy. It was also so easy to assemble, less than 20 minutes. I wasn't expecting much but I totally love it!

Arrived quickly…less than 24 hours. Easy assembly. Seems very sturdy. I LOVE the 3 light settings. Can be warm and moody on one setting, and great for reading on another. The lamp shade color is perfect. My only wish would be that it swiveled more. The shade only swivels forward and back…no side to side, and the top does t swivel from the base. However, it looks great, and does the trick all-in-all. We are happy with it. And it was only $29.99 in prime day. Worth the money, and then some. ... show more

I really love this. It has adjustable temperature. The only weakness is the shade is kind of cheap and falls apart easily. It's pretty easy to pop back into place though.

    • Power cord is coming out of the side not from underneath the base.

This is a nice lamp for the price. I just don’t know if I can get past the power cord coming out from the side of the stem above the base. Usually electric cords are threaded through the base so that the base/lamp has a finished look. I think this was a manufacturing error because the base has an opening for the cord so that the cord could be thread underneath and the lamp can stand level without being off balance due to the cord. Seems something went wrong after the fact. Look at the image on Amazon and you can see the cord is above the base. Very odd. Not sure I can get passed it. May have to return it. ... show more

I was worried based on the price but the lamp is nice. The base is heavy and sturdy. I like that I can choose soft or bright white. I also like that the on and off is on the cord. I bought this as a reading light and it does a great job.
