Burns 3/32” (2.5mm) electrodes like a champ. Ran all day at 115 amps (120 volts input supply) with out hitting duty cycle, and I was laying one rod after another. My other machine is a Miller Thunderbolt 160, this arc may not start QUITE as easy as the Miller, but it’s not worlds apart either. For $60 bucks, seems like a great value. The cables feel like copper clan aluminum, the rods (6013 I think) included are not the best. Time will tell if this think can take abuse, so far it really does a nice job, and me and my buddy can both weld. Note that I tripped my 20 amp breaker (shared with out deep freeze outside), going at 115 amps. If was in the 80s (F), and only did it one time. If I ever need to run 1/8”, I’ll run on 240 V and see how she does. Very doubtful this unit will do 6010/6011, as my Maxstar chokes on those. Overall, nice 3/32 E6013 rod burner, fits any budget! ... show more

I’m really impressed with the Welder! As someone who’s fairly new to welding, I was a little intimidated, but this machine makes it easy. It’s compact and lightweight, so moving it around the workshop is no problem. The setup was straightforward, and the machine feels sturdy.     • Solid welding rods for smaller projects
I ordered these welding rods through my Amazon account, even though something about the links made it look like I was reviewing a machine. Rest assured, these are the rods I’m talking about, and they’re excellent! I’ve been using them with my portable corded stick welder, and they perform exactly as they should. The rods strike an arc easily, and the welds are consistent and clean. They’re great for smaller projects or touch-ups, and I haven’t run into any issues with them sticking or breaking. At 3/32", they’re a good fit for welders in the 20-250A range, and I’ve found they work especially well around 140A with my setup. If you’re looking for reliable E6013 rods for light to medium work, these are a great choice. ... show more
