This is such a great tank divider. If you read some of the reviews of the mesh dividers, you will see people complaining that after a year some of them start disintegrating and leaving holes in the mesh. There's zero change that will ever happen with this one. It's sturdy, hard, very clear acrylic. Worst case, I suppose it might get scratches in it over time. But it's never going to fall apart and just let fish through. Yes it costs more, but 10 years from now, after you've had to buy several of the other, and this one is still standing strong, you will have paid less. Other pros: - Mesh ones often have clips that prevent the tank lid from closing. Not these. - They threw in a fifth suction attachment that has two extra suction cups on it. So even if something goes wrong with those, you have a perfect fitting spare. - It was an absolute perfectly cut fit for my Aqueon 10 gallon tank. Zero adjustments needed; it just immediately worked. Things to be aware of: There is a thin layer of plastic protecting both sides of the acrylic. It may not be obvious to everyone, but those layers need to be peeled off both sides in order for it to be clear. You may need to pick at it a while to get an edge up, but otherwise it pulls off cleanly. The directions do mention the need to remove these layers, but knowing that some don't read the directions, I thought I would put it here. TLDR; This is has to be the best tank divider out there, and I'm super glad I purchased it.

So this is pretty much the nicest tank divider on Amazon, at least that I saw. It looks professional. Much nicer than those plastic square or mesh ones they sell for less money. This will make your tank look much nicer, and well worth the money in my opinion. I have the 20 gallon long, and because of this divider (fits absolutely perfectly), my Betta has a bigger and better living space. He’s roommates on the other side are guppies who previously took up the whole tan (I know there are too many guppies, I’m bringing half to the fish store this week) This makes me want to buy more 20 gallon long tanks and make them into three 6.33 gallons or split 10’s

If you keep fish for a long time, you know there are many different reasons you could find yourself in need of a tank separator. In my case, I introduced a new fish to my tank (same species as the others) that was just too aggressive for the other fish to handle, so I had to create a separate space for that fish. I was worried whether or not this would be a good fit and whether or not it would allow enough water flow through it. - This ended up being a perfect fit for my Aqueon 40-gallon breeder tank. - It allows good water flow through the separator, although I do have my HOB filter on one side and my sponge filter on the other. However, there are no water quality differences I can detect since installing it. - Speaking of installation, it was SUPER easy. - The design is way better than any of flimsy separators they sell at Petco/Petsmart or the ones you have to cut to fit - it's very solid. - I love that it's perfectly clear so that the fish can still interact so they don't feel so isolated. - I was also worried about whether or not food would all gather on one side of the tank due to the filter current, but the separator goes about 1/4 inch above the water line (and I keep the water filled very high), so the top of the separator stops the food from circulating at the top of the tank, so the food doesn't all accumulate on one side. Great purchase, and saved me from having to re-home a REALLY nice (and very expensive) fish. If I could give this product six stars, I would.

The media could not be loaded. Works as expected, I have included several points of measurement in my images to inform you further. It is a decent thickness, nothing that would easily break by bending, think from rocks or pressure from substrate. In the video I put a decent amount of bending pressure with my hand and it does not budge. This product is easy to assemble, it is technically only the main acrylic sheet with the suction cup attachments that you attach to their designated spots at the corner. I bought the model for my aqueon 29 gallon tank and it fits perfectly. I would advise against choosing one not fit for your tank however, as it does not fit well in my seapora 29 gallon even though they are both 29 gallon tanks. The acrylic is easy to clean, they make tanks out of acrylic so they can handle pressure, with any divider mulm may get stuck in the openings so extra maintainance may be necessary. The only negative point for this product is that the suction cups are not the best, it will stay on despite this because the seal is very tight, it is not loose at all once all suction cups take place. I think if it fits your tank then this is a great purchase, the acrylic is high quality and durable. This product runs higher in price so waiting for a sale might be advisable.

I wanted to separate my high grade Red/Blue Boa shrimp for breeding but this does not do the trick. Every night two of them sneak past the small gaps at the edges. These are adult shrimp not babies. It's a very nice product but it does not fit perfect enough to keep my shrimp separated. Looks laser cut, very clean edges I just wish it fit tighter to keep my shrimp separated. I'll have to keep them in separate tanks now. I waited a couple weeks for this product and a seemingly premium price since my tank was the same price as this divider. Disappointed as it work for my application. I have a brand new aqueon tanks purchased a few months ago. It's a shame because I have three other tanks in which I wanted to purchase two each of these for a total of 6. I'll have to look at what else is on the market.
