Description
This Acoustic Audio by Goldwood Bluetooth 2.1 speaker system features a contemporary design and is a stylish addition to any home. This 350 watt, 3-piece system includes one powered subwoofer and two satellite speakers as well as the necessary cable and instructions needed to "plug and play" any audio source. I read the review for these that talked about being an audiophile and loving these speakers, and I was pretty skeptical, but I have to be honest, they do sound pretty dang good once you set the bass and treble right. I found that setting treble to -1 and bass to somewhere between 6 and 10 gives a nice, mostly-even frequency response that is really nice to listen to. I was also worried that the sub only being rated down to 40hz would leave it with that kinda boomy, muddy bass sound that cheap speakers often have, but it actually doesn't have any of that, and in fact, when I was doing frequency sweep tests, I found that mine actually goes down to around 30hz or so, just with lower volume in that range. Overall, the sound is crisp and clear with a nice, balanced warmth in the low-end. Another plus to these for me is that the input seems to be completely analog, meaning that there's no perceptible latency in the input, which is rare in modern tv speakers. I was able to plug my guitar into them, and I couldn't feel any latency in my playing. There ARE a few annoying things about these, though, mainly that the remote is very particular about where you point it. I have to have it pointing DIRECTLY at the sub for it to work; like it can't even be pointing in the general direction, or even off by a couple degrees, it has to be DIRECT. Also, every once in a while the bass/treble settings seem to reset to default (which is like bass: 16, which is obnoxiously bassy), and I haven't been able to figure out exactly what triggers that. But overall, for a grand total of only about $75, I'm extremely happy with these. *Update* After about a month of using these, 2 updates: 1) I think I've figured out what's going on with the bass. It seems like the bass level changes depending on the overall volume setting. So for instance if you set the bass at 5 when the volume is at 10, when you turn the volume up to 20, the bass will now be set to 10 (or something like that). I find that annoying and not intuitive at all, but it's not a deal-breaker. 2) the bass response is less flat than my original impression. there's a distinct resonance in the middle of the bass frequencies that then tapers off in the upper range of the bass frequencies. It doesn't by any means ruin the sound, and I won't even lower my rating because the sound still really is very good. Overall, still very happy with these and would recommend them for people who want great sound for very little money.

Since 2018 I have been purchasing this particular brand. The cost is perfect and the sound is tremendous with extreme bass. I love the clarity out of the little speakers with being able to hear every little detail, I usually have it hooked up to my computer but I also have another that I use for my surround sound on my TV. I would never use regular speakers. The remote also comes in handy being able to switch over to auxiliary Bluetooth and adjusting the volume at any given moment. Looks great I don't know about portability. I suppose you can take this anywhere as long as you have a plug-in for it. Actually that's a good idea, I might take one of these to the lake and see how it performs and sounds out in public. I definitely recommend it. High wattage and can't go wrong with the amount of base this thing pushes out

Update 11/20/21: All in all I would purchase this sound system again. Very pleased. Pro: Good quality 2.1 stereo & bass sound coming through this system out from my Visio TV and Chromebook. TV easy to set up using RCA wired connectors. Was able (with my own separate RCA Y splitters & mini plug connectors) to add a preexisting 40w 4.1 amplified speaker system through this unit. Bluetooth function was very easy to pair with my Chromebook. Now that I have dialed in the volume and bass levels on all 6.2 speakers this stereo system sounds great. Clean sound, low bass, no amplifier hum. Very pleased. However... Con: According to the Goldwood rep the manufacturer has intentionally designed this system so that when you adjust the volume level the bass level also changes. Not the treble. The treble setting level remains fixed & constant. In my opinion this is a design flaw. This makes no sense to me. Once I establish the bass setting to my desired room level I want it to remain at that level independent of any volume adjustment. Something to consider prior to purchasing. Suggested Solution: Do not adjust the bass level separate from the volume level. Conclusion: According to the Goldwood rep they had no idea that this design flaw existed until they tested one of their own warehouse units. I am still waiting to hear from Goldwood about why the manufacturer has intentionally designed this audio system in this way. Very frustrating to have to check & adjust the bass level every time I adjust the volume and very confusing why this is. In every other way I am enjoying the good quality stereo sound coming out from my TV, Chromebook & Mobile Phone through this audio system and also the convenience of being able to adjust the volume. treble & bass on all 6.2 speakers with one remote.

As other reviews have said, this is astonishing audio quality for the price. It goes louder with clear audio than I can play in good conscience in an apartment. It doesn't have a strong midrange, like any similar two-little-speakers-one-big-subwoofer setup. But I am not missing it like I do in worse systems. I bought one for my girlfriend since she didn't have a home stereo beyond a little Amazon Echo. I am not a bona-fide audiophile, but I consider listening to music on a tiny speaker like an Echo to be an act of disrespect to the artist that made that music, since it doesn't reach down to the low midrange let alone actual bass, so you're hearing half the song. Neither are you hearing the stereo channels, which that artist also put a good deal of artistry into (nor will you if you insist on putting both stereo speakers near each other in any system). I also consider it to be an act of disrespect to oneself as a being worthy of good experiences. Spend the time to read a few reviews. Spend sixty bucks. Enjoy real audio. Just apologize to your neighbors and tell them to ask you to turn it down instead of stuffing a dead squirrel into your tailpipe.

Its hard to find something in this price range that has a good level of bass. This unit is awesome. The speakers are easy to set up and have a good cord length. I love using the bluetooth feature so that I can play music off of my phone as well as let others connect their music to it. It has a nice remote that allows you to adjust treb and bass levels, volume and input etc. There are manual controlls on the front of the sub as well. Super easy to adjust to your desktop environment. The level of bass on this is great for the price especially. Its worth the purchase if you are looking to spend less than a hundred dollars. The Sub has its port on the Right side, keep that in mind when deciding on placement.

I had been looking for a set of 2.1 speakers for a couple months. My main goal was to find affordable speakers with good low end and of coarse quality sound without distortion. When I came across these speakers the reviews were amazing and at the time were $39.99, which is a steal! The speakers arrived within a week and I was excited to try them out. I'll state the pros first, #1 amazing low end! I have them set against the wall of my room and can literally feel the vibrations in another room. #2 the sound quality is just as good as the low end, distortion does kick in but when unnecessary volume increase is put into place, half volume is loud enough for outdoor use. #3 durable design! Now onto the cons, #1 no Bluetooth connectivity! But that is to be expected when you find a pair of 2.1 for $39.99, #2 The USB port only supports USB drives, not USB cables. #3 control feels cheap but is surprisingly durable, and finally #4 is the rca ports in the back somehow popped off but were easily put back into place, all in all the speakers are amazing and would definitely say they are a great set if you're looking for something cheap and if high quality!

I purchased the gold set and they look amazing. I bought this to use with my Amazon fire TV series 4 as a mini home theater sound system and it works fairly well for that purpose but there are a few issues with it. As others have mentioned, depending on the source even the lowest volume setting can be too loud. I watch YouTube more than regular TV and the volume levels vary drastically there. One video is so loud that the speakers are distorting and crackling and on other videos they are fine. Same goes with TV shows and movies. On some channels it sounds fine and I can even turn it up, on others even the lowest setting isn't low enough. I did set my system up with an optical connection. Also you only get 3 treble settings instead of being able to adjust it manually. I really don't care for that. I bought this system to replace a GX 2.1 gaming speaker set that is basically the same thing except honestly it sounds better and although it has manual controls with no remote, it gives me way more control over the volume, bass and treble. If it had a remote, I would not have bought this system. It's that good. This system looks a little nicer but is very similar and has the remote. As others have said, the remote must be pointed directly at the sub for it to work. Mine is literally only 3ft away and it still doesn't register unless I'm pointed directly at it. Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed after reading all of the glowing reviews here. It's OK for the money and nice looking but not having better control over the volume level and treble is a problem for me. Unfortunately I leave it turned off more often than using it. I turn it on for movies but that's about it. My old GX system, I used to have on all the time. I still have it and it work's perfectly and I may go back to it even without a remote. I haven't decided yet. Overall, it does sound better than this system though and was prices about the same as well. I actually bought 3 of the GX systems in 3 different sizes. All 3 are fantastic sounding but Amazon no longer is carrying them. Maybe they are no longer being manufactured, I'm not sure. This system still can be a good choice depending on how you are using it and what you are willing to tolerate. The overall sound is decent but the bass in proportion to mid and treble is much larger. Also, this system will let you play music off of a SD card, thumb drives, and Bluetooth which is nice if you use it. My old GX system does not have that but I wouldn't use it anyway. If you are willing to put up with the odd little issues that this system has, it's still decent for the price. Also, my system does not suffer from the dreaded audio hum many others have mentioned. I don't know if I'm lucky or if it has to do with its location but either way mine is fine, so that's a plus...

I got these speakers due to the reviews and videos I saw. I think they have a nice look, build, but the sound is okay. It’s only okay and not good because of the hissing noise that you hear the whole time. But it will do, if you’re not picky and just need something to hear your sound on. Update * The hissing noise can be fixed, and was only an issue with the aux. I fixed the issue with getting better rca cables. Speakers are very loud, full of bass and clear quality
