  • Great bunk bed
The bed is very well made, sturdy and looks very durable. It does shake a bit when someone climbs into the top bunk, but that can be mitigated somewhat with padding or something like that between the bed and the wall, especially the upper bunk. Why only 4 stars: The instructions could be a little clearer. I had to reinstall the middle two slat parts (K) of the bottom bunk because I has them reversed (the square bar needs to be in the middle of the bed) and the support bar (J) that goes across the underside of the bottom is rather difficult to install unless you loosen the slat parts and the ends of the cross bar. The slats are slightly curved up and the cross bar has to bend upwards to be able to be screwed in. That having been said, I put it together by myself in a few hours. The only change I made to the bunk is adding 1/2" pipe insulation to the three rungs on the ladder. Climbing up bare foot is uncomfortable without it. 2 things to remember when looking to see if the bed will fit in a room: ceiling fan: the ladder can only go in one place, it can't be moved to the other side of the bunk; and the fact that you have to make the bed: it is a little difficult making the queen without getting along the side of the bed. We bought this bunk for a rental property and I would definitely buy it again. You can not beat the value of what you get for the price of this bed. ... show more

  • Reliable
Bed was easy to assemble. A little squeaky at bottom bunk but still study enough for my 14 year old. Great price for the bed I could find no where else.

  • Good for the price
It was a little bit difficult to assemble - there are a couple ambiguous parts in the instructions. But in the end I got it put together. It's sturdy enough that I'm not worried about it breaking or anything, but it does wobble a bit when you move around on the top bunk. The total height is a bit shorter than most bunk beds I've seen, so there's a little less space on the bottom but you can sit up comfortably on the top bunk without hitting the ceiling. Overall a great deal for the price. ... show more

  • Missing screws
Bed frame in package was very good very upset that the package of screws was open and now missing almost half of screws and two braces. Now to deal with returning it or if I can order just the screws beside that frame feels sturdy and good

  • Very sturdy and we're super happy with it!
Wow!! This was a great buy! Got this for my two girls and they are loving it! Defintely easy to assemble. (Pay attention to the direction the part is supposed to lay) Its super sturdy and feels like its going to last for a very long time! Great space saver and we are happy to have picked this one. As others mentioned the ladder does have thinner steps and my youngest did complain about it hurting her feet, but the easy fix was to cut up a pool noodle. She loves climbing up now! Bottom can support two large adults and still feels sturdy. Fast shipping, did come in 2 boxes. Overall very happy! ... show more

  • Space saver
So I have a love hate with this bed. Truly the assembly was not hard at all, it was pretty straightforward. I don’t think it’s that sturdy tho, my husband and I sleep on the bottom and the bed creeks like crazy after only 4 months of use. We aren’t larger than your normal sized couple either.

  • Extremely pleased with these bunk beds!
Just had these bunk beds set up two days ago and it is exactly as I hoped it would be. It is very sturdy and doesn’t shake or wobble at all, even when standing on the bottom bunk to get the contour sheet on the top twin mattress. I will say that it took two very experienced Amazon assembly guys to set it up with the proper tools. They said it wasn't difficult if you set it up by first hand tightening the bolts before using a power tool to tighten things up at the end. No extra drilling needed. However, the lead fellow said the directions are terrible. Very unfortunate for a great product! I bought these for our beach house and feel confident they will last. I love the twin over queen design because it gives you a place to sit to put on shoes without hitting your head on the top bunk. I looked at the queen over queen style but I like this better for a small room. ... show more

  • Not Great
I read the reviews before buying but, unfortunately this was the only twin XL over queen bunk bed that I could find anywhere & that is what I needed so I had no other choice. Came promptly & packaged well & seems decently sturdy. I learned years ago that to prevent the bars from popping out you have to add a sheet of plywood between the bars & the mattress, so I did that right away & haven’t had issues with that. Assembly was a freakin nightmare. Some of the parts are not labeled at all & they are almost identical to the other parts but it’s critical to get the sides correctly but also impossible to do so when they’re not freakin labeled!! It took me an entire day to assemble the dang thing only to get to the very end & realize that I couldn’t assemble the dang ladder because the part that I needed to be on the right side was on the left, because the pieces weren’t labeled, & there was no way in h*ll I was going to disassemble the whole dang thing again, just to switch that one piece. So to this day the ladder is still not assembled. We haven’t been able to use the top bunk yet since the mattress company is taking their sweet time shipping the dang mattress. So we don’t yet know if we will need the ladder or not. If we end up needing it & I have to disassemble & reassemble that dang bed again I’m going to be pissed! AND just as others have stated in their reviews, some of the pieces do not line up at all, especially the feet that are supposed to support the center of the bottom bunk. You can get one screw in on one side but then the holes on the other side aren’t even close to lining up, they don’t even touch. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I had to make a tourniquet with a sock & a spoon to pull the bars closer together to get the holes to line up so that I could screw the pieces together. The spoon broke after the first one so I had to get something stronger for the second one because it was even worse than the first one (alignment wise). I guess I shouldn’t have expected any better from something made in China. ... show more
