Sweet little engine. I'm in the Philippines and vertical shaft push mower engines are not available here. This engine was at a good price with free shipping to the Philippine. The engine I'm replacing had a plastic camshaft which lost some teeth. I had a perfectly good push mower deck, just needed an engine, and this one has a steel camshaft! Absolutely a perfect fit! No mods! Some say there are no threads to bolt engine to chasis but the bolts from my old engine self tap the threads into the new engine with ease. Started on the first pull smoked a bit at first which is expected and normsl for a new engine 👍.I have to update … April 8 2026 P.S. great fuel economy too!! I am quite pleased with this purchase so far as of today Feb 26 2026 I give 5 star review… (just don’t forget to put oil into the new engine because new engines do NOT come with oil into the the crankcase as some reviews I read here stated the engine blew because no engine oil 🤣 ... show more
