    • Only half "natural" alpha lipoic acid in this product and half "synthetic".
I didn't learn there were 2 types of ALA being used in capsules until the evening AFTER I purchased this product. One of which that is "natural" and easier for the body to use, the other that is synthetic. The synthetic form, depending on to whom you listen is "difficult" to absorb and "not" absorbed by the body. I had to email the company to find out. Among other details, they asked me where I had purchased the product and it would seem, they have blocked me from returning the item. The product arrived yesterday and I didn't get the email indicating unsatisfactory content until then. I didn't even open the packaging and now am "stuck" using an inferior product or trashing all together. By the way, it is a 50% R and a 50% S blend; half natural, half synthetic. Zero for dirty pool, 1 for imprecise labeling, 1 for half inferior blend. ... show more

I could not swallow the capsule and almost choked on one. I threw the rest out. I am N old woman and should have returned them when I first realized how large they were.
