It's near perfect for my needs: The chasis is all metal. It doesn't have fingerprint recognition, but it boots up in seconds. It's so light compared to my last laptop that I can carry it with me from room to room all day long, exactly the way I like to operate. The Gorilla Glass touchscreen is a responsive marvel, and I can jump between the keypad and the screen with ease, all WITHOUT A MOUSE. Hooray! My two year-old Acer 2020 model Chromebook Spin 713 (purchesed at Best Buy during summer 2020) has had battery issues for a while, finally died altogether last week. Since I liked the computer so much, I decided to replace with the same device rather than go for a newer model, saw this refurbished on on Amazon, snapped it up. I loved this Chromebook for two years, until the screen suddenly stopped working. It would have cost $250 to replace the screen, which isn't worth it for a Chromebook. The plastic housing the battery in place was also disintegrating when I took out the battery to check it out. Good chromebook but not really acceptable to only last for two years. ... show more

18 months old and out of warranty. Screen died. Now the HDMI cable connection to an external monitor keeps failing. I expected more from Acer.

    • Make sure screen doesn't randomly turn off
I really liked this (got refurbished) but three weeks in the screen started turning off while using chrome and would require a restart. On the third time I packed it up and returned. Otherwise, this is an AWESOME laptop.
