I gave away my Samsung Chromebook and immediately regretted it. This is a nicer machine but it's out of updates and Google Play Store isn't available. This is CT771T-C1WS, manufactured on 3/20/19. On further investigation, I found that neither the RAM nor the HD can be upgraded. I used Amazon message service to write the seller to see if there was a work around to enable Play Store. No response. On the positive side, the display is excellent, battery life long, this machine looks like new old stock or open box. Built in speakers should be better. There are no signs of usage.     • Older Chromebook but would have been good

It was bought as new, and I really liked it until it finished it's system updates and I realized it's an older model that can no longer receive system updates. The description of the device is wrong and should have stated that these are not new Chromebooks. I returned it. Amazon took it back without any issues. I liked it and would have kept it if it had been getting at least a few more systems updates. Chromebooks generally get around three years of updates, so this model has to have been at least that old. Felt solidly built as a ruggedized version. ... show more
