Acer Vero 514 14" FHD IPS Chromebook Intel Core i3-1215U 8GB RAM 128GB SSD Cobblestone Gray (Sold by Amazon) - I didn't really want to spend money on a Notebook (not to mention deal with Micro$oft Windows any more than necessary), and this is what I needed. Simple to operate, easy to keep up-to-date, screen looks great, and it's fast. Keep in mind, it's a 14" screen so don't expect to keep it a far distance away. But, on your lap, or close on a table, etc., you can't do much better for the price (I paid less than the current price). Battery life is good for the power it has. Works well with BT mouse and headphones. This is my 5th Acer Chromebook purchase, and I have no regrets. ... show more

I think this was an amazing value. It’s my first Chromebook and the overall experience is even better than I thought. I actually find that the Google Docs work better in many ways than the Microsoft suite. I thought I would be saving stuff to thumb drives all the time, I was ready for that minor inconvenience, but that’s not the case at all. Everything is in the cloud so I can access it anywhere and everywhere. The speed of the Chromebook is fine, especially considering the relatively low cost. Battery life is quite good. I think it’s a really good option for most people that don’t do much more than Ymail, check Facebook, and do minor word, processing or spreadsheet work ... show more

I was looking for a lightweight device to browse the internet, check email via a web portal and do some research with while sitting in my recliner watching TV. This fit the bill perfectly. The device is very sturdy and no screen flexing as I have seen in other devices. If anyone is looking for a Chromebook this is a solid choice. As long as people understand that a Chromebook is not a tool you would use to do high-end or graphically driven computing. But to stream video content and surf the internet it is fantastic. This model has a excellent 1080P screen and top facing speakers making for an excellent video streaming experience. Highly Recommend! ... show more

ordered Sept, 2024....would not work today....4/29/25. While under warranty, you have to pay for shipping and insurance, remove your data and passwords and more to get it repaired....piece of junk ....so sorry I purchased this!

My new Acer Chromebook Plus S14 was super easy to set up and get logged in to my familiar sites. The sound quality is improved with speakers upward facing, and the size is a little larger than the 311 I was using. This is probably my 4th Acer Chromebook, and I've been satisfied with all of them. I guess if I could find a fault it's that the edges aren't as smooth as previous models. The keyboard has a rounded edge but the top has a sharp edge that could catch on something. ... show more
