I had been a die-hard Dell guy for what seems like forever. However, but this one is slowly converting me into an Acer fan. The fit, the finish, the performance has been very pleasing. I just ordered one today for a close friend with the confidence gained from our prior purchase. OLD REVIEW So far, we are really impressed with this unit. We had originally wanted to go with Dell (again) but this was too good of a deal to buy my wife a laptop with the features she wanted. One negative though... The description says it has a backlit keyboard. Sadly, it does not! Still, my wife is happy and that's a good thing! ... show more

I had always had a negative opinion of the Acer brand, even though some of my friends had Acer laptops. My employer uses Dell, and that's what I'm accustomed to. However, when buying my personal laptop last winter, I chose Lenovo. I didn't care for it at all. This school year when my son needed a laptop for school, I gave him my Lenovo and went on the search for a new one. I found an Acer that met my criteria: touchscreen, 15.6 in. screen, lighted keyboard..... When I received it, it sat in the box for a month because I just didn't have enough time to set it up. Long story short, when I did, set-up was a breeze! This laptop is very user-friendly. The only negative is having to press and hold the power button instead of just press and releasing it. Other than that it's been a great machine for the price. I highly recommend it. ... show more

Please be aware you can NOT upgrade the LPDDR5 RAM memory. There is no extra slot so you are stuck with only 8 gig As this is soldered in place on the motherboard. :( Also they says it comes with Intel Iris Xe Graphics but is doesn't because it requires dual channel memory and since you can't add any more memory you only get the intel UHD graphics. there are many sites on the internet telling you that you can upgrade the memory but you can't. Beside that it worked fine and I will make due. ... show more

    • Has been repaired 8 times in 1.5 years.
The hinge breaks for no reason and they've replaced the motherboard 5 times. I'm glad I buy the Lenovo care stuff or I'd be SoL. But even with that, this machine is garbage. Which sucks, because when it does run it runs beautifully. I've been a Lenovo girl all my life. This is the end for me.
