Great shoes.
Size: 12 Wide
Color: Rich Brown
Well made, my second pair. Good toe room, good traction, comfortable. Do not require breaking in. Experience gained from my first pair says these boots are not for off trail mountain hiking, despite the name, too flexible and tread not deep enough in rough rocky terrain, but on established smoother trails they work fine. And they are great for every day wear all day. The Vibram soles wear very well. On soft trails they are excellent. I like this model so well that I recently self repaired my 5yr old pair, shows in first photo, I am not a shoe repairman, just wanted more use from a great shoe. Second photo shows soles old vs new, not bad for 5 years and hikes experienced. Some hikes were very rough and rocky off trail mountain hikes, so very pleased with the durability. I now have inserts that corrected my heel wear pattern, I no longer abrade the heels unevenly.

Killer Boots
Size: 12
Color: Olive/Timberwolf
These are killer boots. I’ve never owned Danners but I’m a big fan of Danner now, I’ll tell you that much. They fit true to size and they feel like they were designed around my actual foot. They fit that well. They wear nice around the house, around town, and on the hiking trails. I really don’t like taking them off sometimes because they look as good as they wear. They’re very lightweight for their functionality too. I wasn’t expecting that. They are well worth the money. Don’t be a moron and buy cheap boots, buy good boots and they’ll wear twice as long and you’ll be twice as happy. And you’ll look like you actually know what you’re doing when you get dressed in the morning. They’re a little on the spendy side but they’re made in America for crying out loud and they’re high quality so get off the fence and buy some if you’re in the market for hiking boots. You’ll thank me later. I’m out.

Money well spent
Size: 11.5
Color: Saddle Tan
Remarkably comfortable, right outa the box. Zero break-in needed. Obvious high-quality build and premium materials. The full grain leather is absolutely beautiful. That first scuff is gonna be tough. I’ve wanted these for a while, and finally went for it. If you’re looking, I suggest you do the same. FYI, I’m an 11.5 in just about everything, and this is no exception. I’ve read advice to size down 1/2 click. I say get your actual size. It’s a perfect fit. Peace.

Love, love, love these Danners!
Size: 9.5
Color: Rich Brown
I've had these boots for a few months and have used them several times on various hikes. Wet, mountain terrain and hot, dry, rocky terrain. Usually no more than 5 miles give or take. I love these boots. They stayed cool in the heat, stayed dry splashing near mountain stream crossings, and still look great. I have problematic feet, surgery, collapsed arches, etc and these felt great right out of the box. First hike, I didn't have time to break them in and packed a LOT of bandaids, expecting the worst with blisters. Not one blister! I am female and ordered the men's boots because of the needed wider width (the boots themselves weren't a width width, however) that even in a women's wide width doesn't always work for me. There was plenty of room in the toe box, no cramping. The boots seemed feather light to me, but I read reviews stating they were a tad heavy. I was completely happy with the sizing and the weight. They grip GREAT!! I was climbing around and over boulders on a canyon petroglyph tour fearlessly!! I have a tendency to research things to death ( I searched hiking boot brands for MONTHS) and these were well worth the price!

Light, comfy, durable, and... wait, Portland Select is actually marketing speak for Made in Vietnam?
Size: 10.5
Color: Saddle Tan
Bought the 600's for a hiking trip overseas later this year, but wanted to make sure I broke them in early. The good news is that I probably won't need to do much to break these in, they fit like a nice pair of basketball shoes right out of the box. I read reviews beforehand and went with a size 1/2 smaller than normal, and as expected a 10 1/2 fits like my normal 11's. They're stylish, light, and are by far some of the most comfortable boots I have. I look forward to putting some miles on them. The bad news is that the tongue section that attaches to the side ends at the base of the rise, so unless you keep to walking in puddles I doubt the boots will be as waterproof as regular Danners, which usually stay attached all the way to the top of the rise. They also do a good job of hiding the fact that these boots aren't actually made by hand or in Portland, OR, but instead in Vietnam. Kind of defeats the purpose of wanting to buy a good pair of Danners if you find out after the fact that they probably were made in the same Vietnamese factory as a pair of regular basketball shoes. Explains why they're so much less expensive than most of their other boots. Finally, (and this isn't any fault of Danner), but the pair shipped to me had obviously been returned by another buyer on Amazon. The inside and outside of both boots, as well as the laces and inside of the box, was covered in animal hair. Not just a few hairs, but a gross amount of hair. And the sole was dirty. My wife made me clean my brand new boots outside before I could wear them. Not cool quality control person at Amazon... Not cool.

Boss
Size: 11
Color: Loam Brown/Glazed Ginger - New
At first they felt tight on my heels and I was frustrated. Then I tried them on a different day and wore them and it was something else. They command a presence. Like a quiet, refined luxury. I appreciate the 2 sets of laces and the patterns which are high quality. These are my first Danners and you've earned a loyal customer. Noteworthy: they suggest ordering a 1/2 size down from normal. I did, it worked out for me well. Wide toe box, great grip. Wonderful boots! I don't use these for hiking, but rather work. I have my Asolo Acadia GTX's for the trails.

Best boots on the market
Size: 13
Color: Java/Bossa Nova - Suede
This is my 3rd pair... I'll never buy another boot. They're compfortable like a running/walking shoe, have great ankle support but aren't too tall and restrictive, they're totally waterproof yet they breath well so you feet won't get swampy and the last 2 pairs I bought lasted me 4 years before they completely wore out. Living the the PNW, I wear these boots for 6-8 months out of the year so they're well worth the price.
