Its better then I had imagined.
Got it for homework, I am not a Laptop person but the set up was easier then I thought, its smooth and sleek, runs quick and starts up right away. No long boring loading screen. Even when its battery is drained. Can connect to your phone and you can easily enable and disable the connection. Its lovely, and affordable for my low income household. You could get better storage with the more expensive one however bc its just for simple online homework it'll do just fine at 64 GBs. Comes with a pouch too! I am very pleased. ... show more

Acer Chromebook 315-Like Brand New!
Wow, wow and wow! I am so very elated with my purchase or a renewed Acer Chromebook 315-15 inch screen. I was so very skeptical about purchasing a renewed Chromebook. My previous Acer 315 (exact same) died after almost 3 years. I was not going to get another of the same, but by comparison it still seemed the best value. I grew so used to the large screen and even the funny keyboard layout (with the ten-key numbers on the right which I don't really use) where everything is shifted more to the left, that it feels weird to type on anything else. This Chromebook looks brand new and I would swear it must be. Perfect condition. No scratches, dents, dirt, etc. The keys are not faded. Even the intel and Acer stickers look brand new. I truly cannot believe this is renewed! It came with a case and charger. Be forewarned though, when you first turn it on and plug in the charger it will be at 0%. But that is enough to get you going. You will not see the battery icon on the lower right panel until it begins charging, so be patient! I also get the warning that it may charge slow because it's not the correct adapter, but again that went away once it began to charge. It said it would take 9 hours from 1% but again, it went superfast to 100% in under 2 hours. I ran the diagnostics and it shows the battery life is new, never before fully recharged or recycled. Wow, just wow....that is truly awesome as Amazons description said it would be maybe 80%. Set up was super easy, about 4 steps that you just click through. One thing I love about Google is that it stores your credentials so you just need your email and it's done. All my tabs, extensions and bookmarks came right back. I tested the sound and Bluetooth both are perfect! WiFi is super-fast and I honestly cannot say enough good things about this Chromebook. Kudos to the company and techs that refurbished it. They did an outstanding job. My other Chromebook was the exact same except it was 2000. This one is 2023 and I saved over $100 getting a refurb. Also my old one listed the screen at 15.6, but I measure both and each is exactly 15 inches. This Chromebook is also a little lighter but still made with metal and not plastic. In conclusion, I know some people have had bad experiences with refurb items especially computers, but I have to say this was the best first time experience for me. It all felt brand new like when I bought my previous one-- and in fact even better with some not so obvious upgrades in three years time, but definitely a faster more efficient processor and comparable but lighter weight parts/materials. I think it depends a lot on the company. If they have good integrity, morals and ethics they will not sell or ship faulty products. Again, hats off to the company and employees. Thank you! I highly recommend this Chromebook from you. ... show more

Great Buy!!!
I had this computer for a year and 4 months, and it was a GREAT buy. I actually may purchase it again. Fortunately, I got the 2 year protection plan, (which was a very wise decision), because a year and 4 months after I purchased it, it just went to black....the screen and everything just went to black, and it would not turn on again, though I had not dropped or abused it before this in any way. However, with me having the 2 year protection plan, all that I had to do was file my claim, and send the item in, and within 24 hours I had the amount originally spent on the computer credited to my Amazon account. So, I HIGHLY recommend the 2 year protection plan, as well. The computer worked well, outstanding actually, until the day it died on me, basically. ... show more

I recently purchased a refurbished Acer Chromebook, and I’m pleased to report that it has exceeded my expectations. While it’s not brand new, this device is in excellent shape and more than capable of handling my daily tasks. When I first unboxed the Chromebook, I was impressed by how well it had been refurbished. The exterior showed minimal signs of wear, and the screen was bright and free of scratches. The keyboard and trackpad both work smoothly, with no sticking keys or lag. It’s clear that this Chromebook was given a thorough refresh before being sold. Despite being a refurbished model, the Acer Chromebook performs remarkably well. It boots up quickly, and navigating between tabs and apps is smooth and responsive. The Intel processor and adequate RAM allow me to handle basic tasks like browsing, streaming, and word processing without any issues. It’s not a powerhouse by any means, but for everyday use, it gets the job done reliably. The battery life is another pleasant surprise. I can easily get through a full day of use without needing to recharge, which is impressive for a refurbished device. Even after a few months of use, the battery hasn’t shown any significant signs of wear, maintaining a solid performance throughout the day. The biggest draw of this Acer Chromebook is the value it offers. Refurbished products can be hit or miss, but this one is a definite hit. For a fraction of the cost of a new model, you get a device that’s nearly as good. It’s perfect for students, remote workers, or anyone who needs a budget-friendly laptop for everyday tasks. If you’re in the market for an affordable, reliable laptop and don’t mind going the refurbished route, the Acer Chromebook is an excellent choice. It’s in great shape, performs well, and offers outstanding value. Whether you need a secondary device or a main workhorse for light tasks, this Chromebook gets the job done without breaking the bank. Highly recommended! ... show more

If youre thinking about it, DO IT! I got my son this computer for his homeschooling because his sister has the same one and he needed an upgrade. I bought hers for full price and when I saw the discount for this one for it being it renewed, I gave it a shot. Its beautiful. Fast. Reliable for school and all of the quick changing of sites we do with it daily. Not one scratch, nothing that would show me it was previously used. Looks, feels and acts like it's a brand new computer. I am so happy with this purchase!! ... show more

Lasted less than 6 months
I don't order refurbished items, but somehow I ended up with this refurbished laptop. I did not see that it was a refurbished item until I had placed the order, in fact I'm not sure it showed refurbished UNTIL I had ordered it. It was for my husband and he said refurbished would be ok, but I should have returned it. Less than 6 months later it died. Worked fine one day and was dead the next. Check closely for "refurbished" befor you order! I'm still not sure this wasn't some kind of bait and switch item. ... show more

RE: Remote Workers and College Students
I recommend you purchase this along with the insurance. This is a great gift for anyone who needs a computer to use. If the computer breaks, they will send you another one. You just have to send the original back for them to repair and resell. This is a sustainable product with great value for college students, business professionals, and people working remote. You also want to go to my page and find reviews on various products for preppers, college students, and book lovers. I write reviews of the products I physically have in my home through this site. Worked great for almost 2 years then stopped working. Screen started to glitch after 1.5 years. Now it won't power on. Charger gets extremely hot.
