A solid, and reliable, all new alternator.
2011 Chev. Suburban 5.3 liter Very pleased. Alternator arrived on time, well packaged; and completely intact. Excellent price for a NEW ACDelco alternator. It is the exact replacement for the OEM original I was replacing. Follow the many videos to be found. Installation is very easy. Have patience, if installing new serpentine belt. Because it is new, and not stretched, it will be tight; but the 'ah-ha' moment will come quickly. DO, make a diagram of serp belt 'routing'. No worries then of 're-threading'. Also included is 1-800 tech help line #. My call re: torque pounds on mounting bolts, (41lbs.), was returned and answered within 15 mins.! My initial questions were, 'what is the difference between this alt. #335-1196 & OEM #25877026?' First, about a $100.00 less than OEM. Only difference, (to the best of my knowledge), is that ACDelco. #335-1196 is made in Mexico; which makes no difference to me. It is, (and very clearly marked), a NEW ACDelco alternator.I do not want any other brand in the Subbie. #25877026 , (I assume), is made in U.S. "Professional '#335-1196 is ALL NEW ACDelco parts, fits perfectly, good warranty; and charging like a mad dog. I highly recommend this alternator. Hope this is helpful.

Great
I was having a problem with voltage dropping and going through batteries, but this fixed the issue. If you’re replacing your old alternator this is a great upgrade and if you want to add an inverter this upgraded output is what you need.

Be cautious of buying
This alternator almost lasted 4 years for 20k miles on my 2008 Tahoe ltz 5.3 vortec. The internal bearings started wearing out and grinding. Caused it to spray metal shavings all over the power steering pump and engine bay. Surprisingly its a "AC Delco" OEM or is it? Just go to Autozone and get the limited lifetime warranty with a Duralast.

Glad I made this choice
Genuine GM. New not reman. The one i got was stamped made in USA. Used on a 2011 2500hd truck that has very high current draw while plowing snow. The original Alt. Lasted 256k miles and 15yrs! Why use anything else than AC Delco. Yes you can save $100+ ordering a Chinese reman. Good Luck with that. I also replaced the Belt, tensioner and idler the result is silent smooth operation.

Perfect fit
I went to my local auto parts stores and they all had off brand refurbished products, all priced within $10 of this alternator. The packaging was damaged but the alternator did not have a scratch. I had already removed the bad one, so this only took me about 20 minutes from unboxing to starting the car up. I am a DIY guy, not a mechanic. In my experience, this is one of the simplest parts to replace. I have purchased other Acdelco professional parts from Amazon and have never had an issue with any. I definitely recommend this product.

Good product
Was a littlle concerned at firtst, Regulator frequency was causing volt meter to fluctuate rythmically. Stabilized afted a few days and has been stable and working well for about six months now. Burn in period I hope. And yes, the battery was charged up prior to alternator installation. Satisfied customer.

made in China!!
Box was torn up......plastic rear shield was broken. Your shipping dept. needs to ensure security of the product when its shipped!! POOR, POOR product packaging! This is a 200.00 alternator, not pajamas! I have no choice but to have it installed......I NEED MY VEHICLE BACK! Might work, might not due to the condition of the packaging!

Not OEM Quality
Rear bearing balls came loose and disintegrated after about 15k miles, 3 years. Original lasted 200k miles and 15 years. This isn't OEM quality...might as well buy the cheapest Chinese version you can find and save over $100
