  • Great Book Set!
My daughter loves me to read her Ivy and Bean Books! We purchase the books because she likes to read them again and again. The stories are so fun and silly. I wish this set was available when I was a young reader. I think I would have enjoyed reading more than I did. I am happy to see my daughter so enthusiastic about reading. It is such a joy. ... show more

  • Great books for young kids
My daughter and I really love this book series. She is 7.5 years old and can read these herself but likes for me to read them to her before bed. They are appropriate for her age, they are funny, and always keep us wanting to know what happens next. Netflix also has a few movies based on the first few books that she has really enjoyed watching after we finish reading the corresponding book. ... show more

  • Love the Ivy & Bean books!
I absolutely love this series. I read a few chapters to my 5-year-old every night before bed, and she is always begging for more. Annie Barrows is so great at thinking like a kid, remembering how they genuinely interact with each other and what they're interested in. It's also nice that the kids stay the same age throughout the series. In the Ramona Quimby books, for example, Ramona is a year older in each book, so they can get beyond your child's level a little in terms of content, which is too bad if she starts off loving them and wants to read them all. ... show more

  • Spunky, creative and fun characters! Fantastic books!
Ivy and Bean is a great book series for young elementary kids. I have recommended these books to everyone I know with young kids. The main characters are neighbors and best friends and always have some crazy adventure they are going on. They are spunky, creative and so fun to read about. Both my daughter and son loved these books. It was a perfect first read aloud chapter book for our family. I have a feeling the kids will be reading these again themselves as soon as they are able. We were so sad when we finished the last book of the series. ... show more

  • Granddaughter loves this series
After readying the first box set she couldn’t wait to get the next set. She insisted on passing the first set down to her younger cousin. Made my day that I had introduced this series to her.

  • My 6yo loves them!!
My 6 year old has never sat through a book. She gets bored and walks away. Always has since she was little. That is until she was introduced to Bean and Ivy. She was given the 1st set of book 1,2, and 3 and she was hooked! Once we finished those. We bought the next 2 sets with books, 4,5, & 6 and 7,8, & 9. They are great, funny and keeps her engaged. I recommend these books. ... show more
