Good quality alternator

Fits 2008 grand marquis. Worked great, cheap.
Replaced on a 2008 grand Marquis 4.6L. old alternator had 12-12.6v from source and 12v-11.9v at battery. After all grounds checked, battery checked, alternator voltage checked. I needed to replace alternator. For the price, can't be beat. Easily $60 cheaper then a lower grade re manufactured alternator at auto stores in town. For same unit, $130 cheaper then in town part stores! For crown Vic/ grand Marquis/ town car 4 top bolts 10mm 2 bottom bolts 13 mm Serpentine belt tensioner tool Took 40 minutes to find video, watch, replicate, close hood. Could be done in 15 minutes if you knew what to do right away. Car running much better at 14.5v now at alternator and battery.

2007 marquis with ac delco alternator
It has been 2 years and 40k miles on this ac delco alternator on my 07 grand marquis its a very good alternator i was locking for a motorcraft alternator but they don't makes for this model so i use ac delco and im happy with it.

Have it tested before installing it
Awesome price, with just one minor issue.... Mine was dead out of the box! I took it to the auto parts store and they confirmed this with their tester. Maybe something shook loose in shipping. Or maybe mine was made on a Monday following a long holiday weekend after mas tequila. (The box has Flint, Michigan printed all over it but the alternator is stamped Mexico) 🤠 Since I wanted the car running soon I purchased another locally and just sent this one back to Amazon. Because of this, I can't say if this was just a bad one, a bad batch or who knows? If you decide to buy, have it tested before you install, especially if your alternator is in a hard to get to place. This will save the hassle and time of doing the job twice.

2008 Towncar Alternator
It worked and fixed all my random weird electrical problems. Very easy to install perfect fit for My Towncar 2008.Would highly recommend. Shipping was very very fast ordered at night was there in early morning.

2007 Lincoln Town Car
I’ve had my 2007 Lincoln Town Car for a few years now and this was the first time I’ve had to replace the alternator. AutoZone had new alternators for around $300 and remanufactured ones over $200 so I checked eBay and Amazon instead. This ACDelco alternator was the best priced option I found at under $164 and it had reliable reviews. It arrived with a broken terminal insulator cap which is the red plastic piece on top. Since it wasn’t completely cracked and the terminal was still protected I decided to install it anyway. Fit was perfect so installation was easy even as a first timer especially with the help of YouTube. It’s been over a month now with no issues at all. The alternator is charging properly and my battery is still going strong. There’s also been no noticeable difference in noise level. So far I’m very happy with the purchase especially considering the price.

Good replacement part for Ford Modular Engines
I had an alternator fail on my 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis. The failure mode was that the voltage regulator was stopped regulating the voltage, so that I was getting some really crazy things happening like the Instrument Panel and Electronic Temperature Control going totally black. When I came to a stop, they would light up again. After getting home, I opened the hood and the battery was spitting out water from being overcharged. I hooked up my VOM up and read around 16.5 Volts, which is much higher than the expected 13 - 14 Volts. Using my FORSCAN software, I read that the Instrument Cluster had some protective circuitry that was causing it to shut down. There is one other diagnosis for these alternators. Disconnect the three wire pigtail that leads to it. Rev the engine to about 4,000 RPM for three seconds to simulate wide open throttle. The Ford alternator was designed to self-regulate at 13.5 volts until you shut the engine off. I was reading 16.5 volts. Initially I tried an AutoZone Alternator and it was acting up just like the one I replaced. You cannot buy a new Motorcraft Alternator. This Delco manufactured one seems to be OEM quality. It is very affordable and available with overnight delivery. Put it in my car and it fixed all the problems I was having. This is the part to get for these cars and trucks.
