Look at the pictures closely. The 60 degree left bit is NOT the mirror image of the 60 degree right bit. The left bit has no back or side rake -- you'll have to grind those angles yourself.

I primarily got these hss bits because I liked the assortment provided and the fact that they came with a case to keep them organized. On inspection, they appear to be a decent quality for the price; they're sharp and the grind looks to be OK by my eyes. I tested them on some aluminum round and brass hex stock and the cuts were good quality and chip control was good too. I haven't done harder metal, but for the softer metals and plastics, I anticipate these will be fine. I don't really have any long term usage to report but preliminary impression is good; I don't know what the alloy composition is, so that could affect the edge life and how they perform in harder metal, but so far so good. ... show more

For a cutting tool they are marginal. Most of the cutting surfaces required resharpening before use. Nearly all surfaces had poor or incorrect profiles. For home hobbiest tooling, it should be ready for 1st use. If I wanted to profile and sharpen each before, I would have bought blanks. Don’t expect to use right out of the box, you’ll do more harm than good to both tool and part. I knew better. That being said it did save a little grinding time over blanks. ... show more

I used the tool bits to machine parts for a bike. The bike design uses a 12" peddle ( only 1) that is spring return. My plan is build and give them to our one legged veterans. The media could not be loaded. This cured my woes with turning aluminum on my lathe...cut like a razor and leave a very smooth finish on 6160 aluminum. They have a great selection of angles that actually work vs the cheap crap thats out there. What I am machining it is extremely important that I am able to cut them on the lathe without chatter that throws off how true it is...you can see the results in the video.
