When it works this bell is fine. It rings loud and clear so pedestrians can know you are coming. The one problem I had with it was the shell would get out of alignment and then it would barely ring. It took some brute force to get it aligned to the shell was not touching anything and then it would work fine. Not only is it useful for warning pedestrians that you are coming up on them from behind, but it also makes a friendly and familiar sound that is a nice way to say "hello" to people coming the other way. The handlebar mount it came with was hilariously too small. It wouldn't fit around my finger let alone a 25.4 bar stem. I had to zip tie it in place. It has a great sound, and an unbeatable price. I'm not sure it will withstand crashes.
