  • The Missing Piece for Perfect Moisture Control in a Micro-Grow
Size: 2-3 Plants Dehumidifier
If you are running an indoor micro-cultivation setup, maintaining precise environmental parameters is the difference between an average run and an exceptional one. I recently added the AC Infinity HYDRONE 5 to my ecosystem, and it has completely transformed how I manage moisture levels, especially during crucial late-stage growth and the transition into a controlled Lotus cure drying phase. Here is a breakdown of why this unit is a mandatory upgrade for any serious indoor grower. The Unboxing Experience As someone who regularly films equipment unboxings and timelapses, I appreciate brands that care about presentation and protection. Securing the unit was straightforward, as shown in the product listing in 13202.jpg. When it arrived, the packaging was impeccable. The outer retail shell seen in 13196.jpg gave way to a heavily protected, premium-feeling inner box, captured in 13195.jpg. It immediately feels like a professional-grade piece of hardware rather than a standard consumer appliance. Build Quality and Accessories Pulling the unit out of the box, as seen in 13197.jpg, reveals a sleek, matte-black design that fits perfectly with the rest of the brand's aesthetic. More importantly, it comes with exactly what you need to integrate it into an advanced setup. The inclusion of the UIS expansion cables is a massive plus, and the provided continuous drainage tubing is thick, durable, and highly flexible. The hardware feels robust, and the PWM rotary motor is incredibly quiet—a huge benefit if your setup shares space with your living area. Installation and Ecosystem Integration This is where the HYDRONE 5 truly outclasses the competition. Space is always at a premium when running a compact 2x2x6 tent configuration. Instead of sacrificing valuable floor space inside the tent, the dual duct ports allow for complete external integration. As you can see in my final setup photo in 13200.jpg, I was able to easily duct the dehumidifier directly into the side port of the tent. By utilizing the included hose, I set up a continuous drain straight into a lower bucket, which completely eliminates the daily chore of pulling the unit apart to empty a tiny water reservoir. Because the unit is UIS compatible, it plugged directly into my wall-mounted environmental controller. The integration is flawless. It responds dynamically to the target parameters I set, kicking on only when the humidity spikes and efficiently bringing it back down to the exact percentage required. Final Verdict The HYDRONE 5 is a powerhouse. It handles extreme humidity fluctuations effortlessly and communicates perfectly with existing smart controllers. If you are tired of battling moisture spikes and want a fully automated, ductable solution that respects your tent space, this is the dehumidifier to get. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • I absolutely hate when a company miss leads or lies to customers
Size: 4-6 Plants Dehumidifier
Look one thing that I can’t stand is when a manufacturer will straight up lie or mislead their customers, and this has happened to me quite a few times with AC infinity. Don’t get me wrong. This is a good unit for you to have for your tent. I use it for my 5x5 tent and it helps keep my VPD in range that I want it to. Now I called AC Infiniti and was asking product questions because most dehumidifiers are supposed to have a screen on the back of the unit and AC Infiniti has the screen built in for if you want to use the closed loop system. They told me on the phone if I’m not going to use the close loop system that I don’t have to worry about having a screen on the back of the unit which is incorrect and not factual information if there is not a screen on the back of your dehumidifier any dust or contaminants will get sucked right inside your machine, and it will gunk up the fan or other internal components leading to faster wear out and your unit malfunctioning and that I have a huge issue with in which is one of the reasons that I typically don’t like to mess with AC infinity. In this situation, they are one of the better ones to use for a dehumidifier but I still really don’t like the company too well. There is also other reasons for the three star one is about that screen. The other is that tray that holds the water needs to be able to hold way more water. They should have made it a little bit bigger, especially when the tray doesn’t fill all the way up with water before it shuts off. It’s more like it fills up halfway and then shuts off. When I say halfway, I think that you can maybe hold 1 L of water in it before you have to dump it and I do believe it’s marketed as a 4 L but don’t hold me to it because I could be wrong. Other than those two issues and having to check on it/empty it every day, it’s not too bad, is it worth the price they are asking for it no I don’t think so. I think it should be about $100 off for what you actually get for the machine for it to be worthwhile…… I have barely use this product for 15 days and it already has to be sent into the manufacturer for a warranty claim because the unit keeps turning off randomly so you have to babysit it and check up on it multiple times throughout the day to make sure that it didn’t randomly turn off ... show more

  • Works Awesome
Size: 2-3 Plants Dehumidifier
This is an awesome dehumidifier. It connects to the AC Infinity controller, and keeps the environment at the set humidity. It does put out a lot of heat, but that’s normal. I highly recommend this, and I will be buying another.

  • Love this dehumidifier
Size: 2-3 Plants Dehumidifier
This machine does a fantastic job at regulating the RH. It has a little heat output but nothing you can't handle with an AC easy to use and setup very quite and when it's on no lights to show that it's even in use

  • Must Have for any Serious Tent Grow System
Size: 2-3 Plants Dehumidifier
If you’re going to be an indoor grow tent farmer. The Hydrone 5 is a must buy. This Summer has been very wet and humid. Especially in SNE the weather has been oppressive. The Hydrone 5 takes the humidity out of a grow tent to levels that would be ideal for indoor plants. Super easy to operate and well designed. Used inside or outside the tent is an option. Closed or an open system can be used with excellent results. ... show more

  • Good at humidity control, bad at temp control
Size: 2-3 Plants Dehumidifier
Controls the humidity well, but the exhaust air (dehumidified air) is very hot. Not ideal for a grow tent.

  • Lots of heat when placed in tent.
Size: 2-3 Plants Dehumidifier
Works ok when dehumidifier is directly in the tent. Just adds a bunch of heat. If u have unit outside of tent and ducted it doesn’t work very well. For the money it doesn’t seem worth it at all.

  • Satisfied With The Purchase
Size: 2-3 Plants Dehumidifier
Really happy with this dehumidifier. It pulls out the moisture and keeps the place dry as it should be. It doesn't make weird noises which is also a plus point for me. Setup was easy and simple. It does feel premium. Good purchase.
