Cast real far, works smoothly, don’t like the crank shaft screw turning in the palm of hand though. I hold it like a baitcaster so that screw is in the palm of my left hand. It’s the screw that you can switch the crank from one side to the other but the reel functions perfectly.

    • The dust cap button to change Right/Left handed too large...

When the reel is changed for a Right handed person: the dust cap button is now on the left and when grabbing the reel with the left hand while reeling in the line that dust cap button is so large that it rubs your against your hand and because it is not smooth but instead has rigged edges it hurts like heck... This is a design flaw that left/right changing button should be smaller, thinner and smooth; sending it back. Otherwise, the reels casts and operates well. I could move my left hand onto the rod handle but it's cumbersome and doesn't feel right to control the reel and rod. ... show more

Good spincast reel but main picture shows a spinning reel. Be aware this is a spincast reel not a spinning reel.

The reel is somewhat heavy and the part that seats onto the rod is too thick to mount . I had to improvise the mounting .
