This little gadget made changing the oil in our 2008 Jetta Wolfsburg with the 2.0 FSI engine a breeze! Worked just as advertised, watched an online video for some tips but it's pretty simple. I put down cardboard to catch any drips, with this thing and our oil collector pan there were zero! Did the filter drain first, moved the pan over to the oil pan drain with the hose still in it and then opened up the pan and drained everything out. The hose is quite "coil-ee" to start so needs to be worked a bit to straighten some. Well worth the money though!

My wife's Beetle has a annoying oil filter housing. Thats where i found this life saver. I have arthritis as it is, this product made changing her oil so ridiculously easy and quicker than before. 100% recommend this!

Worked perfectly to drain oil from VW oil filter housing before removing cover and replacing filter element. The adapter is made of sturdy grade plastics seems like it will hold up well after multiple uses. There are aftermarket adapters out there for double the price - not to mention the VW adapter which is crazy expensive - can’t envision how they could possibly work better than this one. Well worth the money to not deal with the oil mess trying to drain the housing by depressing the drain nipple under the housing cap with needle nose pliers.

To me if you have a canister filter in a ridiculous place (above control arm assembly, 08 Audi A4) then it's INVALUABLE. Saved me so much mess from the filter. And the tube thickness is good. I like they give u extra length, I cut some excess off for my vehicle but works great. Love the 2 way system. 1 for screwing to filter bottom, other to open valve for draining.
