I'm sure this fits other VW/Audi models but does the job well on my 2012 Passat 2.5l. Blue part screws into bottom of filter housing, then screw in the black part to start draining out the oil. Once the oil slows down considerably, you can remove the filter housing without making a huge mess, then dump the remainder of used oil that's still in the housing into your drain pan. I use ramps for the front of my car and the tubing supplied was nice and long so I cut it to the appropriate length to go into my drain pan. ... show more

To me if you have a canister filter in a ridiculous place (above control arm assembly, 08 Audi A4) then it's INVALUABLE. Saved me so much mess from the filter. And the tube thickness is good. I like they give u extra length, I cut some excess off for my vehicle but works great. Love the 2 way system. 1 for screwing to filter bottom, other to open valve for draining. ... show more

Worked perfectly to drain oil from VW oil filter housing before removing cover and replacing filter element. The adapter is made of sturdy grade plastics seems like it will hold up well after multiple uses. There are aftermarket adapters out there for double the price - not to mention the VW adapter which is crazy expensive - can’t envision how they could possibly work better than this one. Well worth the money to not deal with the oil mess trying to drain the housing by depressing the drain nipple under the housing cap with needle nose pliers. ... show more

Used in an oil change for 08 Audi A4. After removing the cap that covers the valve, the product just screws on and drains the oil filter housing. Like other people have suggested, I cut the hose to fit the length to my oil drain pan. This is totally worth the money.
