I'm new to shaving my head and I experimented with a couple of rotatory razors. I wasn't satisfied with the results with either of the two rotatory razors I purchased in terms of closeness. So, I researched other options and ran across the Aberlite Touch 2 (AT2) Foil Head Shaver and thought I'd give it try. I'm so glad I did. For me it exceeds the rotatory shavers that I have. First and foremost, it provides a much closer shave than the rotatory shavers I own. With the rotatory shavers I was having to follow with a razor blade to get the closeness that I want. With the AT2, I don't have to user a razor blade for my daily shaving routine. I will use a razor after using the AT2 maybe once a week just to have a smoother shave when I'm going out on the town. But again, it really isn't necessary, it's just a personal choice. I have used the AT2 both dry and wet. It took me a moment to get used to dry shaving with any of the shavers I have. A wet shave is more comfortable for me. The AT2 was better than the rotatory shavers whether dry or wet. I will say this, the very first time I used the AT2, I did get one nick, although the same happened with one of the rotatory shavers. It's just that I felt the nick with the AT2 a bit more. I've not nicked myself since that one time and I use it daily. I go back and forth with dry and wet shaving with it. I make that decision on how much time I have. I've gotten used to using it dry, but I still prefer a wet shave. Also, I did get a couple of razor bumps from the rotatory shavers. I have not gotten a razor bump from the AT2 even with it being a closer shave. There is also less irritation with the AT2. The rotatory shavers made my scalp feel slightly irritated even after using a shaving balm and moisturizer. Second, the AT2 is easy to handle. While the two rotatory shavers I have are also easy to hold, one just feels a bit bulky because of the size of the shaving service having 7 shaving heads. I like the design of the two staggard cutting blades. It allows me to position the shaver at a angle that works well all over my head. It is very easy to clean. You pop off the foil cover, rinse it and the cutting blades and you're done. The rotatory shavers are pretty much the same, however the build up of shaving cream requires a little more time to rinse out completely. Third, the battery life for AT2 is incredibly long. I've been using the AT2 daily for two whole weeks and haven't had to charge it. The power indicator hasn't even gotten down to half way. By comparison, the rotatory shavers needed charging after about two or three uses. The AT2 comes with a USB-C charger and plug adapter. One of the rotatory shavers I have has a only a standard plug charger, which means I have to ensure that I take the cord with me when I travel or I'm out of luck in charging it. With the AT2, I can use any USB-C cable I have to charge it. Finally, If you tend to go more than a 2-3 days without shaving your head, you may still need to use a rotatory shaver or trimmer first because the hair may be too long for the AT2. I shave daily, so that is not an issue for me. Aberlite doesn't try to mislead you on that either. It's mentioned on their website and product info. The AT2 has a hard shell plastic case that fits over the shaver that will make traveling with it breeze. It comes with a travel bag to hold the shaver and the USB-C cord, it also fits in the small toiletry kit bag I use for my beard trimmer and nail clipper kit. There are no gadgets with the AT2 like pop-up trimmer, nose trimmer, scalp massager, etc. I didn't need them anyway because I already have them separately. Besides, the gadgets that came with my rotatory shavers seem flimsy and don't work as well. I definitely recommend the AT2, especially for anyone looking to get a closer shave. The price is good, the quality of the product is excellent. Overall it has met my expectations.

I recently made the choice to shave my head after thinning for a few years. I started with a rotary shaver and that did a nice job and the attachments are welcomed but, man, you would be hard pressed to find a closer shave then this Touch 2 foil shaver. In pursuit of that smooth feel I tried using a razor to shave my head but it just took too long and the results were not much better than the rotary. The Touch 2 gives you the closest shave with minimum irritation and time. I love it!

3rd day after receiving item I have to change my review after a few days. I had to after few days to shave again. As I expected after the second shave, I experienced the same burning, raw sensation and irritation/redness I did the same day I received the razor and used it. I have to go back to my Harry’s razor blade that is really good in the shower. I’ve used Harrys razors for over a year now and no nicks or cuts on my face or bald head. I followed the instructions in package.

Incredibly well made, hefty. Gives a ridiculously close shave. A bit of learning curve if you're coming from a rotary head shaver. I did end up cutting myself quite badly, but found that the foil had arrived broken. Reached out to Aberlite and a day later they had a new foil in the mail free of charge. Great product, solid customer service.

I have owned several so-called head shavers in my lifetime as a member of the follicularly challenged. All of them left something to be desired. I've used regular razors only to have a slip that leaves strange parallel blood lines on my head! Even tried using a lady's brand regular 5 blade razor, but one slip...and I have a small chunk out of my fingernail or my ear! When I first saw the ads for the Aberlite Touch 2 Foil shaver, I thought, "well, here's another one promising what I could only dream of." After months of seeing the ad come up over and over again, I decided to give it a shot. I received my package the day after I ordered, and had to try it out immediately. I only have one thing to say: "WOW!!!" This is the closest shave that I've ever received in my life short of a razor blade! This is now my go to shaver!! My head is as smooth as a bowling ball, and I've never been happier with not having hair! Thanks Aberlite! You guys are awesome!

My first use of the shaver was great! I was really impressed with how smooth my skin was, and how quickly it worked. However, the second shave was noticeably different. The blades had dulled considerably. I really like the shaver, and bought additional blades to compare. I will update my review after using them. *Update* I'm changing my rating to a five. I changed the blade and used it a couple of times with vastly improved results the second time. Maybe I just got a bad blade. But, I suggest not letting your hair grow more than a two or three days if it is thick.

This is a quick initial review of this razor. I have tried multiple rotary razors, including Remington, Skull Shaver, and Groomie. None of those gave me a very close shave, and I always felt I had to settle. I ordered the Aberlite razor, had it delivered yesterday, and tried it out this morning, 2 days after a razor blade shave. I am genuinely impressed. Certainly not razor blade smooth, but I don't feel like I am settling either. I live the feel of it in my hands. Doesn't feel cheap. I live the groove in the body... it works really well with gripping and handling the razor. The plastic storage case that houses the razor is a great idea and protects the razor for travel. I love that it uses USB-C for charging and not some propriety charging cable that you have to keep track of. I will update this after a period of time to see how it holds up...but very impressed with this razor over any other rotary razor I have used.
