I purchased this canopy exclusively for the beach as the one I had prior finely gave out. I read many reviews and decided on this one. We used this canopy every day while at the beach. We had a few very windy days, and while other vacationers had similar tents, theirs moved in the wind and this one stayed put. We did not use any sand bags. This tent is heavy, and well made. You can tell that just by the steel legs. We plopped it into a beach buggy to transport to the beach. After we removed the tent from the bag, we placed the canopy (covering) on top and secured with velcro to the frame. We dug holes with our feet and buried each leg in the sand. It took less than 5 minutes each and every day to set up & take down and there were 3 of us doing so. While you could probably set up with 2 people, it would probably take a few moments longer since you would have to go to each leg & raise it & continue on. When we were done for the day, we folded up the tent, and left the canopy covering attached to the frame, and it was ready for the next day to pop up, no need to remove the covering each time. When we were done with our trip we left the covering still attached to the frame, and placed the tent back into the carrying bag, ready to use for next year. At this time we did not attach the wheels to the bag since we knew we were not going to wheel it to the beach (too much of a distance). FYI there was an unattached pole with a dome top to it, that was part of the assembly and at first we did not know what it was used for, we couldn't find any info & then realized the next day, that it fits into the center frame pole & it is what used to lift (pitch) the covering so that the fabric at the highest point of the tent stays still. These are easy to assemble, we watched how to do it on Utube. Best of all, they are sturdy. No problems with the wind at all! We bought a canopy from a local store last year and within a week it was on the ground broken. I use mine to work on my carnivorous plants all summer out of the sun and loved it so much we purchased a second one for our lounge chairs. This review is for the commercial canopy. Not the regular one, they are different. The canopy lasted 3 summers and 2 winters. It was outside the entire time in the weather. Sunshine, wind, rain (Washington), and snow. It finally gave up the ghost and the cover split. The frame is still strong. I have to say I am very impressed. I believe that if it was used and put away regularly, it would have last for a very long time! Love it! I am hoping to purchase a replacement commercial cover for the frame. Update: 12/2023 I purchased a replacement canopy cover on November 3rd. I put it on the frame, it fit well. We had a rain and wind storm and it stayed in place fine, however, there's a rip on the seam now and I am having constant pockets of rain on 3 sides that I have to empty out every time it rains. Well made product. Metal frame is constructed with parts larger in size than less sturdy pop ups, this makes the tent very solid and performs well in wind as long as you use the anchors to tie/stake it down. Definitely want to do that when there is any wind because even though the frame and canopy are well made we had it out one day with light winds and a few gusts and it moved around a bit. Tie down with rope or use the weighted anchors just need to get material to fill them and make them heavy. The only drawback is the weight of the frame. Because its made with better than average parts it is heavy so be prepared to use your muscles pulling it to a location. Has larger wheels for the pull cart, which helps. Just trade off- sturdy well made tent that give excellent shade cover. One person can set up but took two times setting up to get familiar with how it operates. Pretty easy. We also have a lighter weight 10X10 to use when wind isn't terrible. Only because its lighter. I recommend this product. ... show more
