We are pleased with this pergola for the most part. The frame is very sturdy. Made with good materials. Husband said that it was easy to put together. The awning/shade that can be raised and lowered either front to back or side to side-dependent upon how you set the frame-allows some water to drip through after a rain. The 'locks' to hold the shade in place do not stand up to a strong wind.

We purchased this Pergola 3 months ago to cover our small pool deck from the shade. Its Working out perfectly. My husband and 2 of his buddies took almost an entire Saturday to put it together. it was not easy. but the finished product is beautiful. it’s sturdy, has a high-end look and feel to it. holding up very well to the elements. The finish is gorgeous. it’s just what I had expected from the photographs. We have had lots of rain and wind this past month and no issues whatsoever. My neighbors have complemented it many times. it retracts effortlessly so that if we would like some sun to hit us on the deck we can have it. I also like to retract it when we are expecting heavy rains just to protect the fabric. Overall extremely happy with this purchase. totally worth the price!

We purchased this to help knock down some of the sun load on our deck. The directions are full of miss translated phrases and actions of Chinese to English. Our box showed impact damage, and upon unpacking a small dent was noticed in one leg. We did not need to bother with a return, as the dented leg would be up against the house and not visible. Overall a good product for the cost, and is performing well.

The first item received had several dented and damaged parts, despite the packaging being in pretty good shape. A replacement was sent by Amazon and also had several dented and damaged parts, many of which were the same or similar parts. Again, the packaging was largely intact. The issue seems to be poor packaging as most of the damaged parts were nearly completely unprotected. Between the 2 pergolas sent, I was able to cobble together a complete pergola with little damage. Assembly was fairly easy and overall it is about as solid as I expected. Some of the long cross braces that bolt together in the middle sag a little bit no matter how i assembled them. This does not seem to cause a structural issue, just visual. Now for the biggest issue, the pergola has been assembled for a little over a month, and the gray top is already turning a shade of purple. It looks like it has been fading in the sun for years. This is incredibly frustrating and will likely force me to remove the top entirely and seek an alternative to replace it. Lastly, Amazons processes for returning large and bulky items is completely unacceptable. I was given the option to have the unit picked up by Pilot Freight because my local UPS store would not accept such a large or heavy item. The item was picked up over a month ago and the tracking information shows that it was delivered to its destination, but I have yet to be credited for the return on my account. I have tried to contact customer support and they were no help, and seemed completely unaware of this process for returning bulky items. The rep insisted multiple times that I needed to return the item via UPS to get credit, which is now impossible as I no longer have the item. Frustrating to say the least.

I really liked this product, it was just what I wanted for my sunny deck. A storm came through and caught the awning tearing it and bending the 2 rods that anchored it. I was able to repair the torn awning but the rods had to be replaced. After contacting the company and many back and forth emails, I finally gave up trying to get the rods. This company made it very difficult for something so simple, so just be aware. I ended up jus buying conduit to replace the rods.

First I was very cautious buying this based on the reviews, however, I purchased it anyway. That being said it took 3 hours for my husband and son to put together, and only one leg was dented. We put that to the back o you can not see it. I friggin love it. The black/grey blocks out the neighbors.

The canopy is just falling apart and the bars that go in the canopy keep coming apart and shooting out of the canopy when it gets windy. The plastic rings they give to hold the canopy on are awful, they come apart and fall off all the time leaving the canopy unattached and blowing around everywhere.
