Great quality canopy. Very easy initial setup. I happened to have some extra sand, and the bags held up to the weight perfectly. Tear down was slightly more difficult, but I think that’s due to my own inexperience. Returning the folded metal structure to the carry bag was a cinch, but I couldn’t figure out how to fold the canopy material tight enough to go in there as well. Wish it was a few inches taller on the sides so that I didn’t have to duck my head to walk in and out (I’m 5’11”). Seems to be a tremendous value.

I got this tent in November 2022 and put it up over our backyard patio so my husband could grill and and not get rained on. I originally thought we'd put the tent away for the summer when the rainy season was over. Well, that never happened. The tent's been out there this entire time. As of the writing of this review, December 2024, it's been standing out in the elements for over two years, in sun, rain, snow, hail, sleet, and our famous Seattle area annual windstorms, the latest of which killed two people, damaged countless properties public and private, took out our power for three days and cell service for 1.5 days, and... didn't budge this tent one bit. The tent canopy suffered a 4" L shaped slash from, I'm guessing, impact from a falling branch being blown into it, but otherwise is none the worse for wear. There are places of tension where the canopy is starting to tear just this winter. I'm guessing the canopy is starting to degrade after being through two snow seasons, two summers, immunerable days of rain (Pacific Northwest) and counting the most recent one, three windstorms. It's not even staked down but just freestanding on our concrete patio. I do shake the snow off of the canopy when it accumulates because that can get really heavy and possibly collapse the tent. I am really hoping the maker sells replacement canopies so that I can replace the canopy next summer!

We had purchased this for our beach vacation. It arrived a couple of days before leaving so unpacked for the first use on first day at beach. One leg was missing holes to adjust the height so had to deal with one leg lower than other 3. We used it one day at the beach because of this. Decided over the 4th of July weekend to try and set it up by the pool for shade and figure out a way to ‘rig’ the one leg. When we put the cover over the frame, that same corner fabric ripped when trying to put the canopy on. We had decided to live with it for the summer to get through the season, and then three days ago a rain storm with some wind (supposedly wind resistant) shifted the weighted down tent and bent the ‘steel frame’ legs and broke two of the side frames. Needless to say disappointed in the quality of the tent that have had a little over a month and used 3 times. Sadly, i loved the design of this tent, and hard finding another with the design and look of this tent.

First night camping and of course it rained. Very easy setup and we placed it over the picnic table to play some board games while it rained. However, it started leaking at the four corners of the vent and down the seams. I have just reached out to the seller and abccanopy for support. I will update the review on how the support goes. Update 9/14: The seller and abccanopy were very responsive which I greatly appreciate. They did offer to replace the top and/or partial refund. They did point out that this is a sun shade and not a commercial grade canopy that prevents rain from seeping through. However, the description is very misleading: "WINDPROOF, WATERPROOF, UPF50+:300 Denier Polyester with PU lining,100% Waterproof and 50+UV protection". Buyer beware. As a sun shade canopy, it is easy to setup and performs as a sun shade as expected. If you want rain protection, look for a commercial grade canopy that has sealed seems. Upgraded to 4 stars as the seller and abccanopy were very responsive.

The media could not be loaded. We recently had a Quest 10 x 10 Canopy that actually broke mid use because the frame metal bent and snapped while we were opening it. We use the canopy tent out on the beach to stay out of direct sunlight and actually keep it lowered on its first setting for maximum shade and privacy. I think it’s important to note that regardless of the height you lift the frame to, this ABC canopy provides 100sqft of shade. This is important because a lot of other 10 x 10 tents like our old Quest one only offer 64sqft of shaded space because while the frame base might be 10 x 10 the slant leg design reduces the amount of space and the canopy itself is not 10 x 10. The frame itself is extremely well made and sturdy. We love the large press buttons which make opening this frame a breeze. It was just the two of us and we had this tent up and secured within 5 minutes. The sand bag weights are an amazing bonus because they can be empty and weightless during transport but probably each hold about 20lbs of sand. With our old tent we had to lug around big heavy weights that cost about $40 in addition to the cost of the tent whereas these sand bag weights are included with the canopy. It also comes with stakes and tie downs so you have multiple ways to secure the tent. The canopy material is very thick and well made. The stitching is durable and the material is resilient. The optional (in the sense that you can choose not to open them) netted vents at the roof help create air flow inside the tent which is a really nice feature. Despite it being 100+ degree weather we felt very cool and comfortable. We love that the material has UPF protection and it wipes clean easily. It is heavy inside the bag but the weight is what gives the frame its sturdiness so it’s worth the hassle of transporting it. The wheels on the bag are not the best for pulling through sand. The back straps are more convenient but not exactly comfortable. Overall it’s a great value when you consider all the features and bonuses.
