This outdoor pergola adds a space to entertain and shade to your outdoor area. It measures 10 by 10 feet providing a decent amount of space to place an outdoor furniture underneath. The pergola is made of a powder coated steel structure that has not yet rusted. While it does seem to be built with high grade materials, it makes the shipping box extremely heavy. Our delivery man drug the box to the door and it caused several pieces to be damaged by rubbing against concrete. It has been difficult attempting to get replacement parts, but they are apparently on their way now. A retractable design makes the canopy simple to open and close. In addition to providing privacy, the pergola makes an inviting outdoor area that offers sun protection. One of the largest benefits of this pergola is the limited maintenance required to upkeep unlike traditional wood requiring routinely staining.

The first item received had several dented and damaged parts, despite the packaging being in pretty good shape. A replacement was sent by Amazon and also had several dented and damaged parts, many of which were the same or similar parts. Again, the packaging was largely intact. The issue seems to be poor packaging as most of the damaged parts were nearly completely unprotected. Between the 2 pergolas sent, I was able to cobble together a complete pergola with little damage. Assembly was fairly easy and overall it is about as solid as I expected. Some of the long cross braces that bolt together in the middle sag a little bit no matter how i assembled them. This does not seem to cause a structural issue, just visual. Now for the biggest issue, the pergola has been assembled for a little over a month, and the gray top is already turning a shade of purple. It looks like it has been fading in the sun for years. This is incredibly frustrating and will likely force me to remove the top entirely and seek an alternative to replace it. Lastly, Amazons processes for returning large and bulky items is completely unacceptable. I was given the option to have the unit picked up by Pilot Freight because my local UPS store would not accept such a large or heavy item. The item was picked up over a month ago and the tracking information shows that it was delivered to its destination, but I have yet to be credited for the return on my account. I have tried to contact customer support and they were no help, and seemed completely unaware of this process for returning bulky items. The rep insisted multiple times that I needed to return the item via UPS to get credit, which is now impossible as I no longer have the item. Frustrating to say the least.

Difficult to follow the pictorial directions, needs more detail. Parts to secure the canopy are incomplete and flimsy. Picture looks great and the product is what we wanted, still do, but we are extremely disappointed with the end result. Direct connection to ABCCanopy has been extremely difficult even though it says CONTACT US .

Disappointed because I thought I was getting a bigger product then what I received! It stated it was 10x12 but it’s only 8x10! Parts were bent and missing screws! Box was ripped when we received it. Directions were not easy to follow! The one positive is I like the color!

First I was very cautious buying this based on the reviews, however, I purchased it anyway. That being said it took 3 hours for my husband and son to put together, and only one leg was dented. We put that to the back o you can not see it. I friggin love it. The black/grey blocks out the neighbors.

Item as promised. Directions could have been somewhat easier to follow. Don’t know how sturdy, not a lot of places to weigh it down. The spikes are really not adequate and the “awning “ part should be vented. We did put sandbags at the base of each leg. But so far so good. Hopefully it will make it through a Chicago area summer. Shipping was quick.

Purchased this for my husband to replace an umbrella. He really enjoys reading on the deck but needed more shade from direct sun. This did the trick! The gray shade is less light filtering than other brands. A lot of parts, but it was fairly easy for the two of us to put together. Good price, too. Hoping it will keep the area dry during light rains.

Assembled this pergola and am very unhappy with purchase. When it is a little windy the cover comes out of place flopping around and it is not water proof at all. After setting it up,now what do you do? Take it down again after spending 2-3 hours putting it together, description very deceiving, waste of my money.
