  • The real GOAT
Color: White Size: 10X10
I have cheap $29 canopies (which clearly states not for rain) that feel fragile and seem like they will break while setting up which has endured harsh windy rainstorms and abuse (because the price tag is low enough) without fail. I have owned high-end commercial canopies (which clearly states wind-proof, rain-proof) purchased for over $200 that should be built like a tank but have failed in medium sized storms even when they are well cared for (because their price tags are a bit steep). I have come to learn that all portable pop-up canopies will generally provide decent shade, protect subjects from rain/sunrays and versatile enough to be transported. With that said, there are three main things I desire most in these things: 1-ease of setup (because help is not always available) 2-inside frame (because I like hanging things on them) 3-transport bag (to prolong product, store stakes, store screens) Regarding this particular item (not necessarily the brand), I am able to set it up with great ease BY MYSELF. All portable canopies have the same mechanisms (you know those push buttons that click when in place) but some are so dang hard to push the frame into place that I literally have to take a break between legs. With this canopy, once it is removed from the bag and placed on floor standing up, you spread the legs enough so the frame is high enough to go under. Then you duck down and push the center up with one hand. This will not lock the legs into place but will open and extend fully. Then you may go to each leg and push it into place with ease without little breaks in between. Done. Since the frame is very sturdy and thick, to fold down you simply press the plastic button (way better than the ones you have to pull on a keyring) and the frame will slide down with ease. No helping hand around, kids are busy with their smartphones/videogames? No problem. Once all legs are unlocked, elevate one corner slightly off the ground and move towards the opposite corner until fully folded. Done. I hate those canopies that have frames that crosses at the top like an X and no truss (supporting base frames). Not only is the canopy too high to reach, without a truss, the canopy tip cannot sustain even a little weight. I tried to hang a battery operated LED lantern on it and the canopy caved in. With this product here constructed with a sturdy truss, I can hang a very heavy bulky DeWalt 5,000 lumen worklight with ease without the use of a latter. I can also hang wet clothes and towels. I even managed to clamp a tarp on a corner utilizing the truss to be used as a changing station. So canopies with a truss is very crucial for me. The truss does make the product a bit taller when folded up but the weight is not too significant. Ozark Trail, Coleman, Eurmax, EZup are names of canopies with transport bags that have ripped, deteriorated, too small for canopy, zipper broke or wheels came off under normal use. I'm not a vendor; just an outdoors person. The bag that came with this product is large enough to fit the canopy with ease along with four sidewalls, four empty sandbags, two sunscreen organizers, eight 3" clamps and the included stakes. Though light enough to carry, the attached oversized wheels make this thing very easy to pull through gravel, dirt roads and grass. A friend who challenged me on the ease of setting up this canopy versus his 4x6 Ozark Trail canopy lost miserably. I was able to setup and fold this canopy by the time he was able to set his up. However, he did beat me on putting the canopy back into the bag. Well, he did have a 4x6 vs. my 10x10 and while I have a bag that opens only on one end, he had a bag that opens all the way through. I need to make a video on this battle and upload it here. Overall, I am very happy with this canopy for it's ease of setup, truss system and heavyduty transport bag. I currently have two. I plan to get two more and do away with my 10x20 Ozark Trail that is nearly impossible to setup without someone with enough strength. Though I am tempted to get the ABCCanopy 10x20 to see if it's as easy to use as this 10x10. Hope this helps you decide on your purchase. ... show more

  • Bought the 10x15 canopy to make a spray booth in my garage :)
Color: forest green Size: 10X15
The media could not be loaded. Unboxed the 10’ x 15’ beast, set the frame up in my living room so that I could figure out how to remove the two canopy tensioners to create a flat top frame. My goal is to make a paint booth in my garage. Flat top is needed to fit under my 8’ garage ceiling. I’m going try to find some ball lok release pins smaller than the screw holes of the Philips head screws I pulled out so that I can quickly replace the canopy tensioners when I want to use it as an outdoor shade canopy 👍🏼 When I removed the square tube I studied the canopy tensioner mechanism. Saw a couple of reviews where they broke the crank handle. I don’t think that most people have issues because it’s fairly simple to adjust. Takes roughly 30 turns from the lowest point till it at it’s upper extension. Doubt that you would ever get to 30 cranks because it should tension sooner. Take it easy when you snug the canopy tensioner. It’s only designed to keep the canopy from puddling water when it rains. If you properly attach the canopy Velcro along the canopy frame it should stay taught. I will make another video showing the spray booth once I get it figured out. In the meantime I made a short video showing the tensioner removed and the tensioner mechanism in action. Cheers! Update: I was able to figure out how to make the flat-top canopy by going to the local big box hardware store and buying a thin wall 1x1” square tube, roll of 10’ wide by 100’ 6mil clear plastic. I cut two lengths of tubing roughly 12” long(this length is variable depending on how your canopy frame is shaped). Sanded off the metal burrs and slid them into the canopy extension holes and slipped over the crank mechanism. To clean up the 1” tube end facing up I placed 1” square plastic plugs(this keeps the plastic canopy from grabbing on the edges). I then carefully drilled 3/16” holes on into the plastic canopy frame holders in order to put the four 3/16” linch pins(this keeps the canopy frame more sturdy (since I’ll be hanging parts off the frame while painting). I then started to design the clear 6mil plastic canopy so that I can eventually place filters and a fan(s) to pull nice clean air through while painting(pictures coming). The goal was to design the canopy with zippers on all corners so that I can close up the walls to make it the air flow through the filters. I have a Sailrite portable walking foot machine that helped to sew the seams and zippers. I may add additional zippers to my canvas painters drop cloth that’s on the floor, but I think that the airflow will find its way through the easier avenue: the 24” square furnace filters that will be attached on the walls of the enclosure(pictures coming). Bottom line is that I can put this setup in my double car garage. I can set up (and take down)by myself in 30 minutes. It tucks away in a corner and when I want to take on spray projects with my HLVP sprayer it will keep the garage spotless. Yes you could do this with a much smaller canopy, but I also like the idea of having a nice big canopy that doubles as an outdoor eating area for the big family gatherings👌🏼. Parts: 24”(measure for your application, a smaller canopy may only need 12” or less) of 1” square tubing 3/16” thick wall(important not to use the thicker 1/8” wall tubing because it won’t slip over your hand-crank canopy adjuster) four 3/16” linch pins: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QKP3TCH?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_MD89NK077YHD40DVDJYH Two 1” square plastic tubing ends: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SL6M9PS?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_ADHQ8C2PR7S69G2EJRYG zipper kit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097ZWFS7L?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_CAZGRYA4KH7Y6YGSTBRD Velcro dot kit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091ZC6M1G?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_8YKM33WXF56S6X9MQ6RN ... show more

  • Colorado Vanlife Stamp of Approval
Color: White Size: 10X10
I bought this canopy as an accessory to my van life camping travels and in Colorado, I needed a canopy that was sturdy since it can get quite windy and gusty at times. This canopy is finally the one that worked for me and did not get destroyed within a month. A+++

  • Don’t know if I would hang on this.
Color: Blue Size: 10X10
Although they claimed there was 17 items for purchase, I ordered mine in September 5, it didn’t get shipped until November. I was sent emails twice with response is required whether you would like to cancel or not, or if you would like a similar item. I finally received it maybe November15. Oh well, Happy it finally got here. The four main legs are the only hexagon poles. The support and expanding retracting poles are the regular oval poles. The locking and unlocking push buttons are pretty nifty easily lock and release. Lastly the carry bag is not the most durable on the market. I will reach out and purchase a more hefty carry bag. Oh I ordered the side walls did not receive them and will reorder them again. ... show more
