While we watched others chasing their tents on the beach. We had no problems in heavy wind because we had these. Heavy duty canvas bags with velcro. Just add these to the wagon and go to the beach. Set up your tent, then fill these bags with sand. Attach one to each leg using the velcro straps. You tent won't move and will provide you the shade you need for the beach. When the day is done, simply disconnect the straps from the tent, open the bag and pour out the sand. Throw them bag in the wagon with the tent and you're set for the next beach trip. bright like the picture, easy to attach to the canopy, handles make this easy to move around, only down wide is if you do not get the Velcro just right, sand sometimes escapes if they fall on their side, but you learn. very satisfied. I live in western Nebraska and we have lots of wind, I am using these at vendor and craft shows, while everyone else is holding their canopy I'm not 😉 ... show more

I finally decided to get a canopy because I was doing a masonry project in the front of my house and don't fair well in direct sunlight. I was using the stakes which came with it (6" metal) and they did an ok job holding it down. When the winds picked up I used 12" railroad spikes which also worked pretty well but I was growing concerned about puncturing my sprinkler lines (and they were difficult/messy to remove). I came across this product and decided to give it a shot. As others had complained about them splitting at the seems, I decided to use wet sand in ziplock bags to fill them. They were heavier to carry from my shed to the front yard every day vs. the spikes, but overall this solution worked much, much better. It also enabled me to secure them over my walkway where the spikes would not. They held up to fairly strong winds and made it easier to move the canopy with the sun 2 - 3 times a day for several months. The velcro has held up strong setting up the canopy and taking it down daily on the weekends for several months (along with the intra-day movements). I admit, I do not think they hold as much volume/weight as advertised, but for the price and my application they worked fine. I have not had any issues with tearing of the fabric so I expect these to last a while. ... show more
