I just filled them within the past week, so haven't had enough time to evaluate durability, but they seem to be fine. I'm using them to weigh down the cover on a boat, sitting on a boat lift on a dock. I had already used 4 of the larger, more expensive size and needed just one or two more bags. These are the least expensive for the size, but from what I've seen so far they'll do the job just fine. The velcro seems strong enough to hold them closed against water. They're pretty heavy duty. I filled my bags with sand and used them for one event before the second I noticed one bag had a hole with not time to fix it I made due with 3 bags. I filled my bags pretty full and only got 50 lbs of sand in 3 bags.

I just got back from a week at the beach with my family. My friend and his family were staying in the same condo unit. Each morning, we would step out onto the beach and erect our easy up canopies next to each other, so our families could relax in the shade all day. Often we were in the water or walking along the beach and left our canopies un-occupied. I used my canopy weight bags to secure mine each morning. I brought along a little gardening shovel, so filling them with beach sand was quick and easy. The velcro fasteners seemed to secure them well to the poles, and we attached a thin cord from the canopy top to the top loop of the weight bags. Even though no day seemed particularly windy, at some point the wind picked up my friend's un-weighted canopy and threw it slightly, smashing it into the ground. One of the poles was bent in the process. Luckily for him, since he was not around, someone else grabbed his canopy and righted it back up. Perhaps even more luckily, it did not hurt anyone. My canopy was safe and secure with my canopy weight bags. My friend had to go out and buy a new canopy. These bags are a slight investment well worth it.
