These sandbags are much sturdier than the ones usually found on Amazon and they actually cost LESS than lower quality ones! Each bag is actually made of two pouches, each holding 15+ pounds of sand. They are a very heavy weight canvas (okay 'oxford cloth') and feature a double zipper on the pouches, keeping the sand in the bags. The two pouches are not separate bags sewn together, they are made from the same lengths of canvas with about 1 inch of multi-layer fabric between them, making them very strong and secure. The two pouches wrap around the legs of the tent and are secured with wide, heavy hook/loop straps. At my last Farmer's Market we had winds of 20-25mph for 3-4 hours. At least two vendors lost their tents entirely and some others were moved by the wind. Mine (also from ABC Canopy, their 'market' series with 1-1/4" steel legs) did flex in the wind and I held it down during the strongest gusts but the legs never moved or lifted at all. I do have two minor quibbles. First, the loops at the top are nice, heavy straps but they are rather short, making it difficult to carry them by the straps. Second, since they wrap completely around the tent leg it is not possible to attach the bottom tie of the side walls, leaving the bottom 18" or so loose and flapping. A minor complaint, I know. I would certainly buy them again (although I doubt I'll ever need to) and have recommended them to several other vendors.

I recently purchased three different canopy weight bags to test side-by-side before buying a larger quantity for a project: ABCCANOPY Canopy Weight Bags for Pop up Canopy (Gray/Black) from the ABCCANOPY Store, Canopy Weight Bags(140lbs) for Pop up Canopy Tent 1680D Heavy Duty Leg Canopy Weights Sand Bags for Instant Outdoor Sun Shelter Canopy/Patio Umbrella Set of 4 from the Jorohiker store, and Leader Accessories 4pcs/Pack Canopy Weight Bags Sandbags 30lb/pc Upgrade Huge Capacity from the Leader Accessories Store. All three weight bags (sets of 4 each) cost around $30. The canopy weight bag from Jorohiker has the fatal flaw of no internal sand bladder and only a single zipper that lets sand easily leak out. The canopy weight bag from Leader Accessories has the fatal flaw that the cinch straps are too close to one end and so they slip off, unable to firmly secure the weight bag. However the weight bag from ABCCANOPY was surprisingly excellent. The bag material is a heavy gauge rubberized canvas that is much thicker than either of the other two bags. The stitching is very heavy and is so tight that not even sand dust leaks out. The cinch straps and quick release buckles are twice as wide as the other bags. It has a strap with a grommet on one end, and a rubber carrying handle on the other end. Finally, it has DOUBLE zippers running in opposite directions to create a double seal, containing the sand without even the slightest bit of leakage. It’s truly amazing how much better this bag is than the other two for the same price.

I used these at a recent event to hold down my canopy. There were a few gusts of wind in the rain storm, and I never once worried about the tent. The handle itself is easy to carry. The double zipper design means I don’t have that sand leading out all over my car from event to event, and I only had to purchase the sand once! Great design that will last me for years the way it is constructed. I don’t expect to ever have to replace them.

EDIT: 2 years later and these bags are doing well. They have not fallen apart, ripped or failed at all. The paver sand I put in them does not work it's way out of the zippers or any of the seams. Original review: Decent weights bags, price is ok. They have some nice features that give me hope for their longevity. The material is fairly thick and heavy duty. It's also lined so sand won't work its way thru the fabric. The tops have 2 zippers to close them which was nice. It will also prevent the sand inside form working it's way out. Quality control is lacking though which is why they only get 4 stars. The zippers are sewn on in different directions from one to the next (i.e. on one bag both zippers zip in the same direction and on another they zip in opposite directions). There is no rhyme or reason as they were almost all different. One of the inside zippers was broken right out of the box. The 2 sides were sewn in so the teeth did not line up so it would not zip. The shuttle came off because of this mismatch but I was able to make some adjustments to it to fix the problem. The velcro straps are also sewn on in different directions and a few of them barely have enough length to make it around the bags when full to secure them to your canopy legs. All in all, they're decent and should do the trick. I have seen worse bags.

Purchased these the first time in 2019 and they did a great job. So this year we noticed that they are now beginning to fall apart so I purchased them again. Husband fills a 2 ltr soda bottle with concrete and it fits in there perfectly. We have no worry’s about the gazebo flying away with these attached and they look great too.

Bought these for a canopy tent that is used 1-2 times each week. Filled them with sand not quite all the way. Thought I would be really happy with them because of the reviews reporting that they were sturdy and well made. Liked the idea of the double zipper for preventing the sand leaking out. Within 2 weeks of use the sand began leaking out. Took a bit of searching but the leak occurred at a seam where the bag attached to the center connecting section about half way up the seam. The fabric pulled out of the stitching. I was willing to allow for a one off, but the following week another bag failed at the same spot and a third one failed a couple weeks later. All in the same spot. Of the 4 weight bags in the set only one has remained intact with the other three now unusable. The reviews were great when I was researching these to replace weight bags I'd had for 6 years. I'm very disappointed and feel these were a waste of the money spent of them.
