This is a great canopy for our deck. I received it in great condition with no damage whatsoever. Assembly is pretty easy if you take time to look at the illustrations (no written instructions included) before you attempt to put it together. You get an open end wrench and an allen wrench with the hardware, but a nut driver, socket wrench or adjustable wrench is a great help. It really takes two people to put it up, one to hold while the other installs the various pieces. I found it easier when installing the dome structure to put the four corner ribs on first and only half of the remaining ribs. This helps in putting the dome on top of the structure and then finish installing the remaining ribs. The top cover of the canopy is pretty easy to install except for the last corner which can become somewhat of a struggle since it has to be stretched tight to fit. Using the furnished pull hook does make it easier. Once it's all installed, the unit is stable and sturdy. Finally, install the mosquito netting panels and the four corner covers and you're ready to enjoy your canopy. I'm going to install LED lighting and a fan and power it all with a solar panel. ... show more

I purchased this 8x8 canopy/gazebo for our back concrete patio. It was fairly easy to assemble and all parts were included. We have four double sandbags filled with pea gravel holding it down. This past Saturday morning we had some nasty rainy and windy storms, and I watched as the canopy was lifted off of the patio and into our side yard like a sailboat! There was very little damage (slightly bent pole which bent back into place) and the canopy is back up and in its place again. We will bolting it to the concrete in the next few days.     • Flimsy and very low quality

This item was shipped very quickly and assembly was super easy. That is where the good news ends and the bad news begins. A storm took it out, which is entirely not the fault of the manufacturer. It will rust within 6 hours after rain. I expected some rust, but not quite that quickly. The "metal" is of so low quality even junk metal dealers wont take it. One can bend this metal with very little effort even at it's strongest areas. It is seriously thin and weak metal. It's almost sturdy when assembled but there are places that will fail quickly due to metal fatigue. As usual, it's over priced for the quality you're getting. ... show more

There were no word instructions. For the most part it was east to put together except for a few things we had to figure out from drawings only. We haven’t had it long enough to know how it will hold up in wind or rain. It looks nice and we like it overall.

This is anchored to the end of our dock because we are tired of fighting with patio umbrellas in the wind and it is working great. The bug nets work great but the tie backs disintegrated in 3 weeks so we are using small bungee straps to to hold them.

Love this pergola. The zippered mosquito net, the pretty curtain look on the corners, the way the ties are for holding when not in use and the height. Definitely need sandbags for corners but thanks to Amazon recommending at͏ time of purchase we have not lost it in strong winds (tornado type winds) that have come through since purchase.
