I got this product about 6 months after I got a perm that I deeeeeply regretted. (I have naturally straight thin fine hair and I asked for beach waves which I had done previously, and the lady used THE SMALLEST ROLLERS THEY HAD and gave me very big hair that I am not used to) I know everything says to NOT relax a perm but I couldn't live with the curls that I had, having no clue how to take care of them. I did a test strand and all looked good. i did the rest of my head and I am sooooo happy with the results. I wouldn't "recommend" that anyone relaxes a perm, but if you do, be cautious and good luck! I am happy I did it.

I used to use creme of nature, since they doubled the price, I tried this 2 years ago and it leaves my thick curly hair straight. It's been over 6 months since I relaxed my hair, time to do the growth. What I learned is DO NOT put any product on your ends, they will fry and DO NOT dye your hair and use this a 2 weeks after you dye your hair, it striped my color right out like it was never there. Since I'm only doing regrowth I go to mid shaft and also get a trim after relaxing. Happy relaxing !!!!

I left it on for a little under 15 minutes and my hair came out just a bit wavy but not straight - however, I love how it looks! (for reference I have 3B hair naturally) It makes it super easy to straighten with a low temperature flat iron if you want the stick straight look, a few quick passes from a 250 degree flat iron and it's nice and straight! If you don't want it to be wavy then maybe leave it on a bit longer. My hair doesn't feel damaged at all! I recommend regularly using hair products with keratin though after relaxing it, to help maintain strength and shine. Overall a very mild relaxer! Will definitely repurchase.

Straightened adequately. Due to overgrowth of new roots the Straightening process took more time than directed. I used the entire kit on client. I based scalp thoroughly and no burning scalp at all. End result was beautiful.
