Description

Never trust a billionaire . . . Aaron thinks he can have anything—or anyone—he wants, including me. But when I discovered I was the other woman, I vowed never to see him again. Except he’s not the only one with a secret. When a chance meeting brings us together again, I can no longer hide the truth. Now he wants what’s his—our six-year-old twins. And he insists I’m part of the deal. If I don’t marry him, I’ll be forced to give up my children. I’ll do whatever it takes for the twins, only I’m not the innocent girl I once was, and there’s no way I’m giving him a second chance. But when someone dangerous from my past comes looking for me, I start to see a new side to Aaron that makes me question what’s beneath his need for control. Now the man I vowed never to trust may be the only person who can protect me . . . Aaron’s Patience is book 1 in the Townsends of Williamsport series but is a standalone. The book contains graphic language, violence, discussion of assault and mental illness, and very steamy love scenes. Happily ever after is guaranteed in this BWWM romance. Read more

  • The Power of Love
This was my first book for this author. The book series was recommended. I enjoyed the storyline. I loved Emma’s storyline. It was a great read with a little mystery and drama. Love Aaron and Patient story!

  • second chance love and then some
Aaron and Patience were wonderful. There was complexity and simplicity to the characters. The story for me was just that and more. The narration almost ruined the story for me. This was my first listen that I could recall from Eric Burr. I cannot say that I would intentionally purchase another story narrated by him alone. This one really needed to have a female voice. Patience knew from an early age that she wanted to work in some way with books. She was a bookworm. I loved that about her. I loved that the one man she loved was also her teenaged rescuer. Aaron was a man of few words. He was also a man from a damaged background. He was a man that loved his family but also loved one woman. The one woman he pushed away. She disappeared from his life six years ago. She was the light for his darkness. The two meet again both on a trip to Chicago. Both happen to be at the same club. Both drawn to each other. Patience was not willing to be so forgiving. It was her own body that betrayed her. Then there was the encounter at the hospital. The encounter that changed Patience life. She just was not sure if it was for the best. These two had a second chance at a first real opportunity to be together. This time she would be his wife in all ways. Their relationship gets off to a rocky start. It shows the challenges in love, pain, hurt, lose, past wrongs. Aaron was a typical male in not explaining the situation that tore them apart. Instead, I felt that he was not willing to fight for her. The things he said to her were almost as bad as her finding out the truth. She was just the side piece to the one he was to marry. There was so much going on in this story. Stalking. Watchful eyes. Cute kids. Family love, loyalty, and respect. There was angst, love, passion, death, abuse, Then there was the kidnapping of Patience and a mad man wanting to kill her children This was such a good story for me. Overall 4 out of 5 stars Performance 2 out of 5 stars Story 5 out of 5 stars I was sadden by the choice in narrator. I felt that he took away from the enjoyment of the story. I am so glad that I had my ebook first. I am not going to change my first rating on the story. ... show more

  • Love love love
I loved it! I really can't think of anything else to write. This book has everything I look for in a book. Romance, intrigue, angst and a healthy dose of spice. There is also the family aspect which I like. I really liked the side characters. I'm itching to start the next book so I have to cut this short. Happy reading ... show more

  • 2.5 Unexpected Stars.
Okay so first of all, I would like to say this author knows how to write a gripping story. But to be honest, I’m not sure what I feel about this one. I certainly don’t dislike it, but I’m not sure if I all-the-way like it and all my reasons are to do with the hero of this book, who is incredibly compelling and I think is probably incredibly polemic as a character. From the first page, this book sucks you on. The prologue is one of the best book set ups I’ve ever read and early on I realized this book features one of my favourite tropes, secret baby. This is the first thing that might not be for everyone. I know a lot of people have issues with the secret baby trope and even though for me the explanation was fine, I feel like many people will feel like the heroine didn’t do enough to make the babies not secret. Next, don’t let the cute start or the secret baby trope fool you, this IS a DARK ROMANCE. If you come into this expecting a normal mainstream romance novel, I think you might be a little uncomfortable with the relationship between the hero and heroine and the way he treats/loves her. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is pretty dark and you get an inkling that this might not be the most vanilla of books both from the hero’s incredibly gruff bordering on disrespectful character and the fact that their second chance romance meeting is in a sex club. The hero is extremely controlling and manipulative and even in the context of the romance novel I was incredibly concerned and wanted the heroine to show a little more fight at every point. Not to say that she’s weak, Patience sometimes stands up for herself but it could have been done more times. I feel like sometimes the hero was a little toxic in a way that definitely straddles the line and will cause discomfort. Thirdly, I wanted the hero to have his humbling moment for all his tantrums and bratty behaviour and I don’t think he was humbled enough for my taste and I feel like his possessiveness and way of cherishing Patience often felt a little like ownership and his track record of speaking to women and men wasn’t exactly the nicest. But this is dark, so you overlook things. This is also an extremely hot and spicy book so be prepared. One thing that I think softened or lightened this book a little was the introduction of a supernatural element, Emma, Aaron’s guiding spirit. I wish that Emma had come into the book more frequently and buffered some of Aaron’s rough edges but I thought that element was nice. I loved all the kids in this book. Diego from Carter’s Flame makes a come back and Kennedy and Kyle are absolutely delightful to read. I came into this extremely excited to read Aaron as a gruff hero and I finished not quite sure what to think of him. There are hints that all might not be as it seems with the Townsend family and their connections and it should also be noted that there is some brutal violence in this. Also trigger warnings for physical abuse of women and children in this. If you like dark romance, really dark and gruff heroes and have a stomach for violence, you might really like this. ... show more

  • Aaron's Patience
I've read this multiple times, Kindle and hard copy. The characters are well written and developed. Tiffany Patterson has written many books that I've enjoyed. Yet, Aaron's Patience is a favorite. Patience herself fuels his character. I love the passion Patience pulls from Aaron. I love the anguished devotion Aaron cannot deny for Patience. Adding a supernatural element is like whip cream and a cherry on top of my sundae. Thanks to Tiffany Patterson for creating a story I enjoy equally as Pride and Prejudice. ... show more
