I use the paper cutter to trim scroll saw patterns. The patterns feed my scroll saw fretwork hobby. With little effort, other than proper alignment, you can achieve speedy, accurate cuts. Very good product for the money and much faster than using scissors!

Like anything, it’s not perfect. It cuts, as you’d expect. Here are the things to watch for when buying/using. 1. Aligning what you will cut is not as easy nor accurate as you think. yes, you can see the edge where you want to cut but if you’re “eyeballing” it, the edge is not so easy to align. Just leave some tolerance, just in case. 2. When cutting, push a bit, back up, then some more, repeat. If you’re looking to cut in one pass, it may grab your material when you don’t expect it. 3. The cutting is a small blade. So be aware of this and be ready for replacements if you cut a lot. A plus is, once the material is in place, the cutting track will hold it in place while you do the cutting. This is a good selling point since, with the large pivot cutters, you can be cutting along but the material shifts as the edge is slowly drawn down. These are just things to know and not negatives, per se.

This product did amazingly at cutting the vinyl stick on tiles that I had to put on this wall because my cat decided to scratch up the wallpaper that was there. This product made it so easy and simple to cut the parts that needed to be sized down. Not sure exactly what else I might use it for but I'm keeping it for those just in case moments. 😆

Really easy to use, gets the job done and does it well. I use it on everything (vinyl, mylar, paper stock) and have had no problems. Bought a few extra cutter blades (another website) so I can keep on using this thing every day. Inexpensive enough to replace if you break it but don't worry, its well made! If you do job shop production, stick with a guillotine cutter. For everything else get one of these! Fits easily into small drawers, very small footprint when closed/folded up. A real delight to use. Very smooth action of cutting blade.
